About BRMC Little Lights Preschool

About "BRMC Little Lights Preschool"

BRMC Little Lights Preschool is a preschool and kindergarten located at 70 Barker Rd, Singapore 309936, operating at the mid-range price point ($$). The centre is KakiList-verified, meaning a real person has confirmed its operating details and contact information. It holds a 5-out-of-5 rating on Google across 26 reviews — a moderate sample size that points in a positive direction, though prospective families are encouraged to visit and assess firsthand.

Families considering enrolment should begin by enquiring about available slots for their intended start month, as places — particularly for younger age groups — can fill quickly. When you contact the centre via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form, ask about the infant-to-caregiver ratio, the daily routine and curriculum approach, the settling-in period for new children, and whether the centre is ECDA-approved for subsidy purposes. A centre visit is strongly recommended before committing, so you can meet the lead teacher and observe the learning environment directly.

The most practical next step is to reach out through WhatsApp or the enquiry form to ask about current availability for your child's age group and preferred start month, and to arrange a centre visit at a convenient time.

My 6 year old just graduated from Little Lights and I have been so pleased with his learning and growth over the past 2 years he was in the preschool. I am so grateful to Mrs Chia who has been so patient and nurturing to my boy who is very energetic and playful. She is always loving in her methods of correcting him and always seeks to understand his needs. She always seeks to develop his potential and sees the best in him. As a mother of 4, I have seen how the school has provided an environment that made him grow in confidence in his abilities. I am so thankful to Mrs Chia and other teachers for this! I also commend the Creative Chinese program! Mdm Han and Mdm Shen have made learning Chinese so interesting and fun that my son has great enthusiasm for Chinese even though we don't speak it much at home. The program far exceeded my expectations as I see my son learning Chinese through poems, books, games and also cultural activities like calligraphy. The teachers even notice his strengths and challenges him to deepen his learning through other activities. I truly appreciate this child-centered approach to bring out the best in my son!

Barker LLP is a wonderful preschool, with dedicated and caring teachers who go the extra mile to establish rapport with the children and engage them in unique ways that work for each child. The school offers varied learning activities all in a faith-based environment. My child started her preschool journey in N1 and in the second half of N2, also attended Chinese Montessori for the last 2 terms. Her Chinese has improved by leaps and bounds just over 2 terms, and she’s come to enjoy it, even initiating conversations with me in Chinese! We both work full time and don’t speak much Chinese at home and the grandparents don’t speak it at all. We are super pleased and ever so grateful to all the laoshi who encouraged her throughout her Chinese learning journey. A very special thank you to Yang Laoshi, whom we were blessed to have had for 1.5 years! My child will be continuing with the same programs next year and I would not dream of moving her to any other school. She absolutely loves school and all her teachers. I don’t recall a single tear shed at school drop-off. It warms my heart to see that the teachers even know the names of children from other classes. I have no doubt that the teachers create a learning environment that is loving, welcoming and God-led, enabling each child to develop to their full potential. I strongly recommend Chinese Montessori at Barker LLP as well as the bilingual IB PYP program!

My daughter has been attending BRMC since she was 2.5 years old. We are very happy with how she has grown in confidence over the years. She started additional chinese montessori classes with Yang laoshi when she was 4.5 years old, and over a period of 6 months, her mandarin has improved tremendously. She also has developed the interest in learning Mandarin, which is so delightful to witness. I would like to thank her teacher, Yang laoshi for her dedication and care throughout the years, from N1 to N2.

My daughter has made wonderful progress in her Chinese since she started the K1 Creative Chinese programme. Lin Laoshi and Cheng Laoshi are truly patient, encouraging, and always attentive to each child’s needs. I genuinely value the timely feedback they give, along with helpful tips on how we can support her learning at home. Thanks to their guidance, my child has gained more confidence in speaking and writing Chinese. The teachers foster a warm, supportive environment that makes learning both fun and effective. I sincerely recommend this programme and school to fellow parents seeking dedicated teachers and positive progress in their child’s Chinese learning journey.

Amazing school, teachers and staff - a great environment for child to be curious, confident and learn Christian values. My son really enjoyed going to this school and as parents we feel at ease sending him here. The teachers are very caring and give many updates throughout the week. The staff are always ready to help and answer any questions we have (especially Ms. Hui Hui). My son attended the IB program in the morning, he had amazing teachers - Ms. Georgina, Sun Laoshi and Ms. Karyn. He comes home telling us how his day went and the things that he learned in school. The term project helps him to explore new topics and engage parents at home. We like the inquiry-based approach that they implement to help kids think and explore. My son also learned many skills at his Montessori Chinese class, he was taught by 杨 Laoshi. Yang Laoshi has taught him many things from buttoning his jacket, making food from other countries, numbers, drama to writting chinese characters. What impressed and touched me the most is he came home one day praying in Chinese. His Chinese vocabulary grew a lot during his time there and he is able to confidently do a Chinese skit. The Montessori materials that they offered are extensive. They also printed each Chinese character with 3D printer to help the children learn the strokes. Thank you BRMC for such a wonderful experience!

What subsidies can I claim at "BRMC Little Lights Preschool"?

Subsidies at ECDA-approved centres are available to Singapore citizen children. The Basic Subsidy provides up to S$300 per month for childcare and up to S$600 per month for infant care. The Working Mother's Child Development Subsidy (WMS) provides additional support for households where the mother works at least 56 hours per month. Combined with the Additional Subsidy (income-tested), eligible families can receive up to S$710 per month in total subsidies. Kindergartens may be eligible under KiFAS rather than the childcare subsidy framework. Permanent resident children are eligible for partial subsidies. Is there a waitlist at "BRMC Little Lights Preschool"?

Waitlists are common across Singapore preschools and kindergartens, particularly for infant care and the younger childcare age bands. To secure a place, centres typically require payment of a registration fee and, upon successful allocation, a deposit. These amounts vary by centre, so ask BRMC Little Lights Preschool directly when you make contact. Current availability cannot be confirmed from this listing. Reach out via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form to ask about open slots for your child's age group and intended start month.
