About "Busy Bees Learning Centre"
Busy Bees Learning Centre is an enrichment class provider operating islandwide from its centre at Balmoral Plaza on Bukit Timah Road. It holds KakiList verification, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed by a real person. Pricing is indicated at the S$$ tier; contact the centre directly for exact session or package fees.
Families typically begin by enquiring whether the centre's programmes align with their child's current school level and syllabus — whether that is MOE primary, secondary, or an alternative curriculum. It is worth asking whether classes are conducted in small groups or on a one-to-one basis, as this affects pacing and attention. Many enrichment providers offer a trial class so that parents and children can assess teaching style and level appropriateness before committing to a term. Clarify whether materials fees are included, whether there is a minimum term commitment, and whether the location at Balmoral Plaza suits your family or if any online option is available.
To take the next step, reach out to Busy Bees Learning Centre via phone or the enquiry form listed on this page to ask about current class schedules, available levels, and whether a trial session can be arranged.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
I have spent three and a half years at Busy Bee as a student since Secondary 1 until Secondary 4 and the experience has been incredibly valuable. My four teachers provided me with patient instruction and taught me all necessary skills and techniques to enhance my abilities. The teachers spent their time answering my numerous questions while providing detailed thoughtful feedback on every composition and comprehension assignment which helped me improve my performance. The lesson materials at Busy Bee provided simple understanding while delivering valuable information which proved particularly helpful for oral learning. Chen Lao Shi and Dong Lao Shi provided me with the most significant support during my essential secondary school years. The teachers demonstrated complete patience and kindness while showing deep understanding of their students which made me feel most connected to Chinese teachers. Their support and concern about my progress drove me to continue to challenge myself. The receptionist Alfred provided me with constant understanding and flexibility when I needed to modify my class schedule because of CCA or other school activities. Busy Bee stands out as the most beneficial Chinese tuition center I have attended among all the well-known institutions I have visited. The support from all staff members helped me achieve outstanding progress from B3 in PSLE to A1 in paper and Distinction in oral during the 2025 Chinese O Level examination. Busy Bee has provided me with invaluable support throughout my time at the school.
I put my child in this centre in the final lap towards Chinese 'O' levels. She passed with flying colors. It is a nice and cosy centre with good teacher:student ratio. Admin (Alfred) is very responsive and provided very good service. What is most impressive is that both admin and teachers are happy to work with parents to understand the needs and help kids meet their goals!
My son has gone through two major Chinese examinations so far — PSLE Higher Chinese (AL1) and O-Level Standard Chinese (A1) — and over the past eight years with Busy Bees, I have only wonderful things to say about the school and the teachers there. The team has consistently supported him with age-appropriate engagement and equipped him with practical skills to tackle every section of the language paper, including oral. As he now closes this chapter of his school-based Mother Tongue journey, I am truly thankful that we chose Busy Bees to walk alongside him through it all.

Busy Bees Learning Centre is priced at the S$$ tier, though exact per-session rates, monthly package fees, and term fees are not publicly listed and should be confirmed directly with the centre. In the Singapore enrichment market, group classes typically run S$30–80 per session depending on subject and group size, while one-to-one sessions can range from S$60–150 or more. Ask whether a trial class carries a separate fee, whether materials or workbooks are charged on top of tuition, and whether sibling discounts or multi-subject package rates apply. Some centres charge a one-off registration fee at enrolment. See the full Enrichment Classes cost guide for Singapore →
Many enrichment providers in Singapore offer a trial class, sometimes at a reduced fee, to let parents and children assess fit before signing up for a full term. During the trial, pay attention to whether the level matches your child's current ability, whether the teaching style keeps your child engaged, and whether the class size allows for adequate individual attention. It is also a good opportunity to observe how the tutor handles questions and manages the pace of the lesson. If the provider does not advertise a trial, it is reasonable to ask directly — some will accommodate a first-session arrangement even if it is not standard policy. Contact Busy Bees Learning Centre by phone or via the enquiry form to ask about trial class availability and any associated cost.
Credential details for the tutors at Busy Bees Learning Centre are not publicly listed on this profile. When enquiring, it is worth asking whether tutors hold a degree in their subject area, whether any hold an NIE teaching qualification or prior MOE teaching experience, and how many years they have been teaching at this centre. For syllabus-aligned enrichment, confirm that the tutor is familiar with the current MOE curriculum for the relevant level, or with the specific examination board if your child is on an IB, IGCSE, or AP track. If this information is not readily volunteered, ask for it directly — a reputable provider will have no difficulty sharing it.
