You should also confirm whether the centre is ECDA-registered, as this determines eligibility for government subsidies available to Singapore citizen children. Come prepared with your child's intended start date and any specific care requirements.

We are incredibly grateful for our experience with Capella Preschool. The teachers are exceptionally nurturing, patient, and genuinely involved in each child’s growth. We truly appreciate how attentive they are and it gives us great peace of mind knowing our child is in such caring hands. The curriculum is well-structured and engaging. Our child comes home every day excitedly sharing what he has learned, which speaks volumes about how lessons are delivered. We especially love the wide exposure the school provides; from Chinese poetry and songs to festive celebrations that help the children appreciate different cultures and traditions. The weekly CAMP classes (Cooking, Art, Music, and PE) are a big highlight! Our child enthusiastically tells us what ingredients were used in the food item they prepared and takes so much pride in enjoying his own cooking. It’s wonderful to see such hands-on, experiential learning. Outdoor playtime and water play are also thoughtfully incorporated, giving the children opportunities to explore, have fun, and stay active. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better preschool environment. Thank you to the wonderful team for creating such a positive and enriching experience for our child!
If I could give Capella Preschool 10 stars, I absolutely would. I love how thoughtful and fun Capella’s curriculum is. They have weekly water play and CAMP activities (Cookery, Art, Music, and Physical), and the kids absolutely enjoy them. The teachers are very caring and nurturing, and I always feel at ease leaving my daughter there. She settled in so quickly, even on her first full-day, which really shows how safe and loved she feels in school. They also provide weekly update (with photos and/or videos) to the parents of the activities done for the week. I also appreciate the parent support group Capella created. It’s such a nice space for parents to share and learn from each other. They also run free workshops once in a while, and I’ve found them genuinely useful! I’ve actually applied a lot of what I learned to my parenting. And their festive activities? Always so well-planned and fun! Whether it’s Chinese New Year, Christmas, Hari Raya, Deepavali, National Day, you name it they always put in the extra effort, and sometimes parents even get to join in. Overall, Capella Preschool has been such a meaningful part of our child’s growth. Big thank you to Capella and all the amazing teachers! 💛
We absolutely love Capella Preschool! The teachers truly care about the kids and create such a warm, loving environment. The children have so much fun learning, and there are lots of activities that include parents, too. It’s amazing to see how much more independent and confident the kids become. Such a positive and happy place for little ones to grow!
Both of my kids go to Capella preschool from the time when they were 18 months old and they both enjoy their time in the preschool. I like that they have well-structured themes that teaches my kids important social skills such as kindness, and real world knowledge such as recycling. They especially enjoy the weekly CAMP classes (Cooking, Arts, Music, Sports) where external vendors are invited to teach the kids about musical instruments and sports. My kids surprised me one day when they came home telling me about Beethoven. While building social and life skills are important, the school also ensures the kids grow academically by introducing phonics through the use of Jolly Phonics. I rarely speak Mandarin to my kids at home, so it’s a joy to see them start speaking Mandarin to me, which they all learn from school! In K2, the kids are also exposed to Hanyu Pinyin. Through the 4.5 years, I can truly feel the teachers care for the kids deeply. There were frequent conversations with the teachers about how my kids were doing when they first started, including ways to address challenging behaviors in school or home. All in all, I really appreciate the patience and care from the school to my kids.
I’m very impressed with the school’s curriculum but also the way the teachers execute it and conduct learnings for the kids, even for the younger ones. Capella is a cozy school which has strong parent community as well, often conducting many events where parents can join in the fun (such as the recent Chinese New Year celebrations). you can tell that the teachers are all very dedicated and caring to the children’s learning and development from their meticulous school updates, and from the way all the kids love and respect them.

Capella Preschool displays a mid-range (S$$) monthly fee, though the exact figure should be confirmed directly with the centre as published rates can vary by programme, age group, and session type (full-day vs half-day). Beyond the monthly fee, families should ask about a one-time registration fee, a deposit (typically equivalent to two months' fees), and any charges for uniforms, insurance, or consumables. Childcare fees in Singapore are GST-exempt, so no GST should appear on your invoice. See the full childcare cost guide for Singapore →
Singapore citizen children enrolled in a licensed ECDA centre may be eligible for the Basic Subsidy — up to S$600 per month for infant care and S$300 per month for childcare. Working mothers employed for at least 56 hours per month may additionally qualify for the Working Mother's Child Care Subsidy. For lower-income families, the Additional Subsidy provides further support, with combined assistance potentially reaching up to S$710 per month. Permanent resident children are eligible for partial subsidies at lower quantum. KiFAS applies specifically to kindergarten programmes. Subsidy amounts are subject to change, so always verify the latest figures directly with ECDA at go.gov.sg/ecda before relying on any published quantum. Note that subsidy eligibility also depends on whether the centre holds the relevant ECDA licence — confirm this with Capella Preschool directly.
Infant care places in Singapore are in particularly high demand, and it is common for popular centres to be fully booked three to twelve months in advance. January is the peak intake month, as it aligns with the start of the school year, making early enquiry especially important for parents targeting that period. To secure a place, most centres require payment of a registration fee and a deposit. These amounts and the refund policy should be confirmed in writing before payment is made. Contact Capella Preschool directly via phone or their enquiry form to check current availability and ask how to join a waitlist if places are not immediately open.
