Dr.Aaron Gan is undoubtedly the best Doctor in Singapore. I was going through a very painful and long ligament tear in my right hand and it was not healing. I had visited other specialist doctor before meeting Dr.Aaron Gan, but there was no relief. Dr.Aaron Gan diagnosed everything to the precision and he really helped me get better within couple of months. His knowledge and professionalism is unparalleled. Thanks to him my right hand is okay and in normal condition now. Thanks a ton Dr.Aaron Gan. I must say that the Reception was also amazing and everyone was so nice and helpful. I had a sagital band rupture. It’s been 2.5 months and healed completely. When i first saw dr aaron, he right away diagnose it as sagital band rupture and strongly suggested for me to have a surgery right away since according to him it can’t be healed by itself. He said the scar would be nothing. (But i have a friend that undergo a surgery because of an accident and the scar is still there until now after several years). My husband was confused since he said it right away without taking any steps to make sure and check further on the condition. So my husband asked for it and dr aaron said well okay you can take MRI if you want. After the MRI result came out on the next day, he then said it’s the most severe condition for the sagital band rupture. The MRI result confirm it that it needs surgery. He also said he had another patient that didnt recover from the rupture after 6 months and eventually came back to him for surgery. Since we believe that the wise thing to do is to ask for another opinion before jumping into an important like this, we went to Kuala Lumpur and ask another doctor. We asked for a splint beforehand which was done by the administrative staff (since the therapist was unavailable at the time). The admin staff asked dr gan whether he wanted to check but he said its ok just do it and then left just like that. Anyway, the doctor at Kuala Lumpur told me that oh no, I don’t need a surgery. It’ll heal by itself after 1.5 months. He also fixed the splint a little bit. Now it’s been 2.5 months, I saw another hand surgeon in Bandung which was more satisfying to my surprise. He explained the MRI result in details! According to the MRI, it’s a partial rupture (not whole) which can heal by itself after 1.5 months. He asked me to remove the splint right away and start moving my hand since coz if not, my hand could get sticky inside and be stiff, can’t move like it used to be. If it happens, that would require a bigger surgery. Anyway i think dr. Gan is a type of doctor that you should steer away from. I also suggest that you go to government hospital instead of private hospital like mount E since i’ve experienced multiple disappointment there.
