About Clean Lab
Clean Lab is a part-time cleaning service operating islandwide across Singapore, listed under the Part-time Helper subcategory on KakiList. The listing has been verified by a KakiList team member, and the service holds a 4.5/5 rating across 59 Google reviews — a moderate sample that provides a reasonable directional signal. No ACRA registration has been confirmed for this listing, and no regulatory licences are recorded at this time.
When enquiring, confirm the hourly rate and minimum session length (typically 3–4 hours), the type of clean required — weekly recurring, one-off, deep clean, post-renovation, or pre-move-in — and whether the service covers your property type (HDB flat, condo, or landed). Clarify whether cleaning equipment and supplies are provided or whether you need to supply them. If any helper deployed to your home is a foreign national, they must be deployed through a MOM-licensed cleaning company; direct hire of foreign freelancers is illegal under MOM rules and exposes the homeowner to fines of S$5,000–10,000 and a two-year hiring ban. Ask Clean Lab to confirm the deployment status of any foreign helpers before booking. Also check whether public liability insurance is in place and what the substitute policy is if your regular helper is unavailable.
To get started, reach out to Clean Lab via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to describe your property size, cleaning frequency, and preferred schedule, and request a confirmed rate in writing before the first visit.
If the helper is foreign, confirm the company's MOM cleaning business licence before booking — the penalty for hiring an unlicensed foreign freelancer lands on you, not them.
The cleaning process is smooth and well handled, they came in time and within the time period, I like when they spotted some defectives marks/ holes or light scratches on my floor or furnitures and send to my phone immediately just in case any misunderstandings. Thanks to The Cleaning Lab ( Ben) and his teams. Will recommend if anyone looking for Reno or Spring cleaning.
Recently engaged the service of Clean Lab for my mattress cleaning and sanitizing and the Specialist that came down was very thorough. I was shocked when they showed me the amount of dirt extracted out from my mattress. Will definitely engage their service again and will recommend them to anyone in need of a deep mattress cleaning.
Service is decent but not the best. They get the job done but were not thorough in cleaning the nooks and crannies. All the corners and edges of the cupboards still had stains and dust. And with sink and metal materials they just simply wiped the surface which was not enough to clean it properly. Had to do another round of cleaning after the team was gone. Hood and basin still had alot of work to be done. Need to monitor the team closely.
I've done Post-reno cleaning with them and very disappointed with their service level. I was fooled by good google reviews to choose them. They quote me for 2 cleaner for 4hrs at $380, however; 1. Came 30mins earlier without notice. So I had to reschedule mine. 2. Nothing special of this"Post-reno" cleaning. It's just normal cleaning which isn't good either. They didn't clean all the cabinets properly, surface still got dust, all the glue/paint from the reno were all still there after the cleaning. They just vacuum n mop the floor it seems. The unit was totally empty and I even told them not to clean one of the room because I stored some boxes there. For that room only windows need to be clean. So, I believe the cleaners have more time to clean elsewhere more throughout but they didn't. 3. When I reach home to check 10mins before the 4hrs, they already packed everything (cleaning equipments), put it outside and sat down having a rest. It's OK for them to take a rest if they done good job in shorter time, but my case it was not that. 4. I reported these issues to the sales person who managed my appointment through WhatsApp, but after reading it he didn't even say a word. No sorry nothing. Just ignoring my messages. In nutshell, I will not use them again in future or recommend them.
Beware of this company. They are very helpful at first when it comes to booking a service but after they "cleaned" our carpet spots started to come out. Initially the company was responsive and saying to just let the carpet dry, later on after showing more photos of the carpet they said they'll have someone come over the week after. Tried reaching them to schedule multiple times however STOPPED REPLYING. Better to take your carpet cleaned elsewhere. Our carpet was way better before the company touched it ~ what a waste of money and time!!!

Part-time cleaning in Singapore is typically priced at S$18–25 per hour through licensed companies, with a minimum of 3–4 hours per visit. One-off deep cleans generally run S$150–800 depending on property size; post-renovation cleans S$350–1,800; and pre-move-in cleans S$400–2,500. Confirm with Clean Lab whether equipment and supplies are included or homeowner-provided, and whether a fixed quote is available for one-off jobs rather than an open hourly rate. Get the agreed rate in writing before the first session. See the full Part-time Helper cost guide for Singapore →
Foreign part-time helpers must be deployed via a MOM-licensed cleaning company — direct hire from informal channels such as Carousell, Facebook groups, or WhatsApp referrals is illegal under MOM rules. The penalty for the homeowner (not the cleaner) is a fine of S$5,000–10,000 plus a two-year ban on hiring any domestic helpers. Before booking, ask Clean Lab to confirm the MOM licensed status of any foreign helpers they deploy. Singaporean and PR helpers can be hired directly without these constraints, so the legal exposure depends entirely on the nationality and employment status of the individual assigned to your home. If Clean Lab cannot provide confirmation of a MOM cleaning business licence for foreign helper deployment, limit bookings to Singaporean or PR helpers only.
Public liability insurance of at least S$500,000 is standard among reputable part-time cleaning companies and covers damage to your property or belongings during a session. Ask Clean Lab for the policy reference in writing before the first booking. A substitute policy matters for recurring arrangements — if your regular helper is unwell or on leave, a reliable company should be able to send a trained substitute within 24 hours rather than leaving the session uncovered with little notice. Also clarify whether Clean Lab operates on a regular-helper model (the same person each visit) or a booking-pool model (different helpers each time), as consistency tends to produce better results and reduces the time spent briefing a new cleaner on your preferences.
