About Columbia Academy

About "Columbia Academy"

Columbia Academy is an infant care provider listed on KakiList with island-wide coverage, operating from its centre at The Galleria by The Furniture Mall on Toh Guan Road. It holds a KakiList verified status, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed by a real person. The centre carries a Google rating of 4.9 out of 5 across 37 reviews — a moderate sample that offers a reasonable directional signal, though parents should weigh it alongside a personal visit. Monthly fees are positioned at a mid-range price point ($$).

Families considering Columbia Academy for infant care should begin by enquiring about slot availability for their intended start month, as infant care places — particularly for very young babies — tend to fill well in advance. During your initial contact, ask about the infant-to-caregiver ratio, the daily routine for your child's age group, and the approach to the settling-in period. It is also worth discussing ECDA subsidies, which are available to Singapore citizen children and can meaningfully reduce out-of-pocket monthly costs.

To take the next step, reach out to Columbia Academy directly via phone or the enquiry form on their listing to check current slot availability and arrange a centre visit before committing.

I would definitely recommend Columbia Preschool. With 21 years of experience as an early childhood educator, I have a deep understanding of what makes a preschool exceptional. Before enrolling my daughter at Columbia when she was 19 months old, I visited three other schools, including a high-end one. Despite the alternatives, I chose Columbia Preschool for several reasons. The teachers and staff are always smiling and exude positivity, creating a nurturing environment where children can thrive. The teamwork among the staff is evident and adds to the school’s warm and supportive community. Since joining Columbia six months ago, I have witnessed remarkable growth in my daughter. She has blossomed in this positive environment, developing new skills and confidence. Trust me, as a former early childhood educator, this is the place where your child will flourish.

Came across Columbia Preschool in Facebook and we were invited to visit the school the very next day. We completely in awe with the school curriculum and how friendly and helpful the teachers are. Fast forward, my daughter already passed the 8mth journey with the school. They have alot of fun activity, excursions and sometimes parents are also invited! My daughter can easily wake up from sleep and very excited to come to school. Thank you Columbia Preschool!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does "Columbia Academy" charge per month?

Columbia Academy is priced at a mid-range level ($$) on a monthly recurring basis, which is standard for infant care centres in Singapore. Beyond the monthly fee itself, you should ask about any one-time registration fee, a deposit (typically equivalent to one to two months of fees), and whether uniforms or personal accident insurance are charged separately. Childcare and infant care fees in Singapore are GST-exempt, so the quoted monthly rate should be the amount you pay. Confirm all charges in writing before signing the enrolment contract. What subsidies can I claim at "Columbia Academy"?

Singapore citizen children enrolled in licensed infant care centres are eligible for the Basic Subsidy of up to S$600 per month. Working mothers who clock at least 56 hours of work per month may additionally qualify for the Working Mother's Child Care Subsidy. Families with a gross monthly household income that meets the income-tested threshold may further receive the Additional Subsidy, which can bring the combined subsidy quantum up to S$710 per month or more depending on the scheme year. Permanent resident children receive partial subsidies at lower quantum. KiFAS applies specifically to kindergarten programmes rather than infant care. Subsidy rates and eligibility criteria are reviewed periodically, so check directly with ECDA at go.gov.sg/ecda for the most current figures before enrolment.

Is there a waitlist at "Columbia Academy"?

Infant care places in Singapore are among the most competitive in the childcare sector. Parents are generally advised to enquire three to twelve months ahead of their intended start date, and some popular centres are booked six to twelve months out, particularly for babies under six months of age. January is a peak intake month, though many centres admit infants on a rolling basis throughout the year. To secure a place, centres typically require a registration fee and, upon offer, a deposit. Contact Columbia Academy directly via phone or the enquiry form to ask about current availability and what is required to join the waitlist or confirm a slot.
