About Companion Animal Surgery

Companion Animal Surgery is a veterinary clinic located at 12 Boon Teck Road, Singapore 329586, serving pet owners islandwide. The clinic has been verified by KakiList, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed by a real person. It holds a Google rating of 4 out of 5 across 550 reviews, which represents a robust sample and provides a reliable signal of consistent service quality. Pricing is indicated at a mid-range level.

When reaching out to Companion Animal Surgery, it helps to have your pet's details to hand — including breed, size, age, and temperament — as well as up-to-date vaccination records, since most reputable veterinary practices require proof of current vaccinations before proceeding with consultations or procedures. If your pet has an existing medical history or has been seen by another vet previously, bringing those records along will allow the clinical team to assess your animal's needs more accurately. You can get in touch via phone or by submitting a contact form. It is worth confirming appointment availability in advance, particularly for surgical consultations, which may require a prior examination before a procedure date is confirmed.

To take the next step, call Companion Animal Surgery directly or submit an enquiry through their contact form to arrange a consultation appointment for your pet.

Dr Wilfred cares about both the pet and the owners. Cared to make follow up calls even free of charge. Being a great support for us in going through the hardest time for both the owners and the pet. The pricing is not very cheap but definitely reasonable and affordable compared to other 24 hr hospitals. Many vet clinics require advanced booking. Or only limited vets are on duty. Companion Vet will be a good choice for those that need urgent or ad hoc care. Their vets are patient to explain and answer questions. Unlike some other vets who are too busy with consultation. The only thing I wish is the lighting can be a bit more cozy. The cold lighting actually scared me a bit when I first visited.

Dr Kevin has been exceptionally patient, compassionate, and dedicated in his care for Turbo, our 13-year-old Pomeranian, as well as towards me as an owner. He takes the time to explain every issue clearly and thoroughly, ensuring I fully understand the situation while patiently addressing all my (very kiasu) questions. Throughout every consultation, Dr Kevin remains calm, reassuring, and genuinely empathetic, which made a huge difference in helping me stay composed during what could have been very stressful moments. He consistently goes the extra mile for his patients, such as accommodating Turbo for a last-minute dental surgery despite his extremely tight schedule and staying back late to ensure everything was done properly. Dr Kevin is one of those vets that you can feel really cares for animals I’m incredibly grateful to have Turbo under his care. The team at companion itself was great, they were prompt and it felt more family bonded, rather than those at your typical vet. Our family definitely would taking companion as our usual vet from now on

An excellent clinic. Not cheap, but services are good. Dr Miles is really a wizard and has a lot of experience. (He literally brought Oreo back from the edge twice) . He is extremely patient and polite even after long hours of working, surgery, emergency cases.. he takes time to see each patient. Gives you all the options available . Dr April was the other vet who looked at Oreo, she is very polite and caring and prompt to act . Two of the best vet ive interacted with. Dr Aparna who was also on duty when i admitted oreo was very kind and compaasionate. All the nurses were so nice and helpful and took so good care of oreo . Overall deserving a 5star rating .

Ad says 25% OFF pet dental (scaling & polishing, GA, IV catheter/fluids) starting from $396 for dogs/cats, depending on weight. We live in Chinatown… went to Balestier with my 3-year-old 6.8kg dog (small / should be low-end pricing) after fasting him overnight for the procedure. Only when I arrived did they disclose the real total would be around $1,000+ (extras like blood tests, dental X-rays ~$312, separate scaling/polishing add-on ~$226, IV items, etc.—not mentioned into the "starting" price). Felt like total bait-and-switch; promo barely covers basics while recommended tests inflate everything massively. Had to cancel on the spot, wasting time and stressing my dog with unnecessary fasting. Lack of upfront transparency is frustrating and deceptive.

I have been taking my dog Kobe to Companion Animal Surgery since he was a year old. Dr Eleanor, Dr Miles, Dr Todd, and Dr Alan always give him the best care and treatment whenever he is unwell. Gil , Eunice and the rest of the staff are very friendly, helpful and understanding. It’s great that they are open 24/7 too. I highly recommend them.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Companion Animal Surgery charge?

Veterinary fees in Singapore vary depending on the type of visit and the nature of treatment required. A standard consultation typically ranges from S$30 to S$80, while surgical procedures can run from several hundred to several thousand dollars depending on complexity, anaesthesia requirements, and post-operative care. Diagnostic tests such as blood panels, X-rays, or ultrasounds are usually charged separately. It is advisable to ask for an itemised estimate before proceeding with any procedure, particularly for surgeries. Confirm whether the quoted fee includes anaesthesia, post-op medication, and follow-up visits, or whether these are billed additionally. See the full veterinary clinic cost guide for Singapore →

What vaccinations does Companion Animal Surgery require?

For dogs, core vaccinations typically include DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, and parainfluenza) and rabies, with bordetella sometimes required if your dog will be in contact with other animals. For cats, FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia) is the standard core vaccine. Most practices expect vaccinations to have been administered within the past 12 months. Bring your pet's vaccination booklet or certificate to the appointment. If your pet is overdue for vaccinations, the clinic may administer boosters before proceeding with elective procedures. Contact Companion Animal Surgery directly to confirm their specific vaccination requirements ahead of your visit.

Is Companion Animal Surgery licensed and insured?

Veterinary clinics in Singapore operating legally must be registered with the Animal and Veterinary Service (AVS) under the National Parks Board, and practising veterinarians must hold valid registration with the Singapore Veterinary Council (SVC). Companion Animal Surgery is KakiList-verified, meaning contact details and operating status have been confirmed, and it carries a strong Google review record of 4 out of 5 across 550 reviews. However, no specific regulatory licences are listed in the current KakiList record. Before your visit, you may wish to confirm the clinic's AVS registration and the attending veterinarian's SVC registration number directly with the practice. Visit the facility, check the vaccination policy, and confirm insurance before drop-off.
