Im deeply grateful for the exceptional care and compassion Dr Christine and the vet nurse team that Vet Central provided for my beloved Bruno during his critical moments. Given my close proximity to the clinic, the team offered flexibility & was there to support us with required daily injections. Their professionalism, kindness, and dedication were evident in every interaction. They gave love and was there for Bruno’s final moments, making a difficult time slightly more bearable. Vet Central truly goes above and beyond for their patients and their families. Highly recommend for any pet owner in need of top-notch care and support 🙏❤️

I brought my rat to the practice and he was seen by Dr Wendy. She was extremely professional and very kind towards my pet. I felt so reassured by her gentle care and expertise for exotic pets. She also explained everything I needed to know very clearly and we came up with a plan on how to treat my pet’s condition. Thank you Dr Wendy! Also special mention to the receptionists, nurses and staff for their hard work and dedication to the practice

We are very grateful to Dr Bernice & her team in handling the final moments of our pet rabbit last week. Although operating hours were over, they squeezed in time to attend to the situation as he no longer could lift up his head. After the assessment, they wrapped a towel over a warm cushion bag for him to lay on. We are touched by their kindness that we feel has made him feel more comfortable 🙏

Dr. Bernice Cheng is an exceptional veterinarian. She supported me through the loss of my corgi and continues to care for my very energetic English setter—both of whom have had complex medical cases. In every situation, Dr. Cheng has been thorough, thoughtful, and incredibly knowledgeable, taking the time to explain options clearly and honestly. What sets her apart is her candour and integrity. I trust her completely to recommend what is medically best for my dogs, even when those recommendations come with difficult decisions or short-term pain for me as an owner. Her advice is never rushed or sugar-coated, but it is always compassionate and grounded in what will give my dogs the best possible outcome. Knowing that my pets are under the care of someone so skilled and principled gives me immense peace of mind.

Would like to share my bad experience and express my dissatisfaction in relations to my recent visit to the Vet Central Toa Payoh clinic. In view of my pet's rapid worsening symptoms, I opted to walk in after I was told to drop by immediately with waiting time that could take 1-2hours on top of the additonal surcharge. Waited for a total of 4 hours since 3pm and was the last to see the doctor at around 7pm. Probably because we are the last in queue, Dr Bernice seems to be half hearted and in a rush, speaking impatiently and insinuating us, the pet owners for bringing the pet for examination too late. Total consultation took approx 15-20min including a 5min x-ray. Based on Dr Bernice prognosis, my pet was down with cancer and is in severe pain, with a remaining life span of 2-3 days. Half heartedly, she repeatedly suggested to euthanise my pet. Disbelieved, I brought my pet to another vet clinic and she was given proper treatment and medication and gradually got better overtime. While the reception staff are friendly and patient, overall, I'm truly dissatisfied with the services rendered considering: 1. The staff could be more honest in advising the waiting time instead of keeping the extremely sickly pet waiting for many hours. Suggesting to visit the nearest available vet could also be an alternative. 2. Despite knowing that my pet is in a severe condition (as she was taken to the back of the clinic for a check upon registration), she was kept in queue for 4 hours when consultation would only take approximately 15min. 3. Unprofessional vet advice that is only seeking the easy way out: euthanasia. If my pet is truly in such a life-threatening condition (per Dr Bernice diagnosis, remaining lifespan of 2-3days, for which her prognosis is wrong), shouldn't she arrange for the earliest consultation instead of keeping her in queue for 4 hours? Being a vet, Dr Bernice should be advising on the treatment and how to make the pet feel better instead of gaslighting us to put our pet to death. Vet Central was the pet clinic that is on the top of my list after running through numerous google reviews. However, I was left dissatisfied and Dr Bernice truly failed to live up to expectation. Would never visit Vet Central again.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Country Vet Clinic charge?

Veterinary fees in Singapore vary depending on the type of consultation, your pet's size and breed, and any procedures or medications required. A standard consultation at a private vet clinic typically ranges from S$30 to S$80, with specialist visits, diagnostics, surgical procedures, and prescribed medications priced separately on top of that base fee. Country Vet Clinic is priced at the mid-range tier ($$), which suggests rates in line with private clinic norms rather than budget walk-in services. It is advisable to ask for an itemised estimate before agreeing to any procedure, particularly for diagnostics, dental work, or surgery. Add-ons such as blood panels, X-rays, and vaccinations will each carry their own charge. See the full veterinary clinic cost guide for Singapore →

What vaccinations does Country Vet Clinic require?

For dogs, core vaccinations include the DHPP combination (distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, and parainfluenza) and rabies, both of which are essential for general health and legally required for licensing in Singapore. Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccination is commonly required by boarding and daycare facilities, though requirements vary by provider. For cats, the FVRCP combination (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia) is the core vaccine recommended by veterinary guidelines. Proof of vaccination is typically required to be within the past 12 months. Contact Country Vet Clinic directly to confirm their specific vaccination requirements and to check whether your pet's existing vaccination records are acceptable, particularly if they were administered by a different clinic.

Is Country Vet Clinic licensed and insured?

Country Vet Clinic is verified by KakiList, meaning a staff member has confirmed its operating details and contact channels. The clinic holds a strong Google rating of 4.5 out of 5 across 277 reviews, which is a robust sample and a reliable indicator of consistent service. Veterinary practices in Singapore are regulated by the Singapore Veterinary Council (SVC), which requires all practising veterinarians to hold a valid licence. Facilities offering boarding services are additionally required to hold an Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS) licence. No regulatory licences are listed in the current KakiList record, so it is advisable to ask the clinic directly to confirm their SVC registration and any relevant AVS approvals. Visit the facility, check the vaccination policy, and confirm insurance before drop-off.
