About Da Capo Music Academy

About Da Capo Music Academy

Da Capo Music Academy is a music school operating islandwide from its centre at 64 Jalan Jurong Kechil, Singapore 598585. It is KakiList-verified and ACRA-registered, giving it a credible public footprint. The academy holds a 4.8-star Google rating, though this is based on 16 reviews — a small sample, so treat it as directional rather than conclusive. Pricing sits in the mid-range ($$) for Singapore music schools; specific session fees were not available at the time of listing.

When enquiring, it is worth clarifying which instrument or programme is on offer, what level or syllabus the tuition follows (for example, ABRSM, Trinity, or an internal programme), and whether lessons are conducted one-to-one or in small groups. Parents and students should ask about term commitment and cancellation terms, as well as whether make-up lessons are provided for missed sessions. Da Capo can be contacted via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form, making it straightforward to ask about scheduling and to confirm whether a slot is available for your preferred day and time.

The most practical next step is to reach out via WhatsApp or phone to enquire about instrument availability, confirm the lesson format that suits you, and ask whether a trial lesson can be arranged before committing to a term.

I have been learning guitar from Mr Andy for around a year. He is extremely kind, friendly, patient, encouraging, and knowledgeable. He gave very useful pointers and direction that helped to improve my guitar skills. The receptionist is also very nice! Unfortunately I had to stop due to financial issues, but would strongly recommend anyone who wants to learn guitar to learn from Mr Andy. Thank you Mr Andy and Da Capo!

Exodus of teachers from the school mainly due to mismanagement. We withdrew our kid but they then refused to return the down payment of $300. If I ever I find out who owns it I’ll always and forever blacklist the management and owner - stay away from this owner and black shop mentality at all costs

I had an amazing experience at Da Capo Music Academy! Special thanks to Ms. Kai Xin, who taught me the saxophone with so much patience and expertise. Her passion for music and ability to make lessons both fun and challenging truly helped me cultivate a intertest in music. If you're looking to learn an instrument, especially the saxophone, I highly recommend Ms. Kai Xin!

My children love their lessons with Teacher Sarah and Teacher Mark and look forward to class weekly! The teachers were able to engage them w their interests - teaching songs they like or using games to teach rhythm. Happy to have a found a place that has sparked their interest in music!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Da Capo Music Academy charge per session?

Specific session fees for Da Capo Music Academy were not published at the time of this listing. As a general guide, music tuition in Singapore typically ranges from S$40–80 per 30-minute lesson for group classes and S$60–150 per hour for one-to-one lessons, depending on the instrument, the teacher's experience, and the syllabus track. Beyond the per-session or monthly package fee, it is worth asking about registration fees, any materials or consumables (method books, sheet music), examination entry fees if you are preparing for ABRSM or Trinity grades, and whether sibling or multi-lesson discounts apply. Some schools charge separately for term enrolment versus a rolling monthly arrangement. See the full Music Schools cost guide for Singapore →

Can I try a class before committing?

Many music schools in Singapore offer a trial lesson at either a reduced fee or the standard session rate, so it is worth asking Da Capo Music Academy whether this is available when you make first contact. A trial lesson lets you assess whether the teacher's style suits the learner's pace and personality, whether the level is appropriately pitched, and whether the learning environment feels comfortable. For younger children in particular, a trial session is a useful gauge of engagement before committing to a full term. If a formal trial is not offered, ask whether you can observe part of a lesson or speak directly with the teacher before signing up. Confirm the cancellation and make-up lesson policy at the same time.

What are the tutors' credentials at Da Capo Music Academy?

Tutor credentials were not specified in the listing information available for Da Capo Music Academy. When enquiring, it is reasonable to ask about each teacher's formal qualifications — for example, a degree or diploma in music from a recognised conservatoire or university — their performance or practical experience, and how long they have been teaching. For exam-focused tuition, it is also useful to confirm whether the teacher is familiar with the specific syllabus you are pursuing, whether ABRSM, Trinity Guildhall, or another examining board. If these details are not readily available on the school's website or marketing materials, ask directly before committing to a term.
