About Darren Lim Photography
Darren Lim Photography is an islandwide photography and videography service based at Suntec City, Singapore. The listing is KakiList-verified, and the studio holds a 5/5 rating across 120 Google reviews — a robust sample that suggests consistent client satisfaction. No package pricing is publicly displayed, so prospective clients should enquire directly for a quote.
When reaching out, share your event date, venue, and headcount via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form. Clarify the scope — full-day versus half-day coverage, the number of shooters required, whether videography is needed alongside photography, and your preferred delivery format (edited gallery, highlight reel, same-day edit). Discuss the style and mood you have in mind, as well as any specific moments — first look, solemnisation, tea ceremony, gatecrash, reception — that must be covered. Ask about the deliverables timeline, the number of edited images or video length included, and whether a pre-event consultation or venue recce is part of the package. For weddings booked on popular Saturdays in March, April, October, or November, availability can be limited well in advance. For baby full-month, 100-day, or birthday celebrations, six to twelve weeks of lead time is generally sufficient, though in-demand dates fill quickly.
To check availability and receive a package quote, contact Darren Lim Photography directly via WhatsApp or the enquiry form, providing your event date, venue, and a brief description of what you need covered.
Lock in the date with a written contract and deposit, confirm the public liability insurance and any HDB / condo / hotel venue paperwork, and put the deliverables, balance schedule, and rescheduling policy in writing.
Disappointing experience with Stephanie for our Actual Day photography. While Stephanie is positioned as a senior fine art photographer with years of experience, the photos unfortunately fell short of expectations — lacking in framing, attention to detail, and overall planning. Communication before the wedding was great, with two Zoom meetings and clear reminders. However, the first red flag was when Stephanie checked in two days before the wedding to reconfirm our schedule — something already clarified twice. I also shared our venue link beforehand, but based on the photos, it seems this wasn’t reviewed. There were moments that reflected a lack of attention to detail. For example, my cheongsam appeared noticeably crumpled in one photo, and I was not guided to adjust it. The only shots where it looked presentable were those I corrected myself after noticing. This is something I would have expected a senior photographer to pick up on. After I shared my feedback, the team did make an effort to improve the photos, which I appreciate. However, the review process was tedious — the re-uploaded photos weren’t in sequence. The final photo montage also included the intro audio of the song instead of the main track, which made me wonder if it was reviewed before being sent. At this point, I’m honestly just tired of asking for more amendments; it’s been a draining experience. We can’t redo our wedding, and it’s really disheartening to feel that the photos don’t reflect the memories we hoped to preserve. Perhaps it just wasn’t Stephanie’s best day, but I wanted to share my experience since I engaged her based on the many positive reviews here.
We had a wonderful experience with Stephanie as our wedding photographer. She is incredibly kind, patient and professional. We had several meetings with her before our actual ROM and she really took the time to understand what we wanted and what was important to us. On the actual day, she made us feel very comfortable and at ease and everything felt very natural. The photos turned out beautifully — she captured not only the moments between us, but also so many precious family moments that we will truly cherish forever. We are very happy with the photos and grateful to have had Stephanie as part of our special day. Highly recommended! 👍🏻👍🏻📸
We had an enjoyable experience partnering with Stephanie from Darren and Jade Photography as the photographer for our actual wedding day to capture all the moments. Having an experienced and professional photographer is essential in modern wedding ceremonies, as you will have to take many pictures throughout the day at different locations with different people. The photographer not only has to take the pictures but also coordinate where everyone is standing, keep track of the timing, and bring out the best in everyone. Stephanie managed to exceed our expectations in all areas. The entire process was very well managed as well, from confirming the schedule to advising us on what to expect on the actual day via Zoom, to the actual day itself, spotting spontaneous locations and moments to capture every possible memory. In addition, there is also a huge amount of post-production work involved, where you are able to choose many pictures to form a small montage with your favourite music, which turned out to be amazing! We hope you will consider their services when you plan for your own wedding in the future

Darren Lim Photography does not publicly list package prices, so you will need to enquire directly for a quote. As a general reference, Singapore market rates for events photography and videography are: wedding full-day photography S$2,500–6,000+, full-day videography S$3,000–8,000+, and combined photo-and-video packages at a bundled rate. Shorter engagements — baby full-month or 100-day sessions, birthday parties, and corporate events — typically run S$500–2,500 depending on hours of coverage and deliverables. When comparing quotes, confirm: the deposit required on signing (typically 30–50%), the balance payment schedule, total hours of coverage, number of edited images or video length, turnaround time, and whether a travel charge applies for venues outside the central region. GST may apply depending on the provider's registration status. See the full Photography & Videography cost guide for Singapore →
For weddings, six to twelve months ahead is the standard recommendation — popular photographers are often fully booked on prime Saturdays in March, April, October, and November well before that. If your date is within three to four months, enquire immediately to check availability rather than assuming slots remain. For baby celebrations such as full-month or 100-day shoots, birthday parties, and corporate events, six to twelve weeks of lead time is usually sufficient, though in-demand weekends can fill faster than expected. Once availability is confirmed, a signed contract and deposit are what secure the date — verbal holds are not standard practice in this industry. Confirm wet-weather or backup contingency if any portion of your event is outdoors, and ask whether a pre-event consultation or venue recce is included in the package.
The Singapore events photography industry standard is a deposit of 30–50% on signing, with the balance due one to two weeks before the event. The deposit secures the date and typically covers initial consultation time and pre-event planning — it is generally non-refundable if you cancel, though many photographers allow it to be transferred to a rescheduled date within a reasonable window. Confirm in writing: what the deposit covers, the rescheduling policy if a venue restriction or unforeseen circumstance forces a date change, and the deliverables timeline after the event. Ask whether public liability insurance is held, as some HDB void decks, condominium function rooms, and hotel venues require the vendor to provide a copy of the certificate before permitting setup on the day. If anything is agreed verbally — extra hours, additional locations, a specific shot list — put it in the contract before signing.
