About Darren Photography Singapore

About Darren Photography Singapore

Darren Photography Singapore is an islandwide photography and videography service based at 7 Temasek Blvd, operating under a package pricing model. The listing is KakiList-verified, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed by a real person. With a 5/5 rating across 120 Google reviews, the public feedback sample is robust and suggests consistent client satisfaction. ACRA registration has not been confirmed at the time of writing.

Enquiring is straightforward via WhatsApp, phone, or the contact form. When reaching out, share your event date and venue first — this confirms availability before any further discussion. Follow up with headcount, the type of event (wedding, solemnisation, newborn shoot, corporate event, birthday, baby full-month), and your preferred style (documentary, editorial, or a mix). Most packages are structured around hours of coverage and final deliverable count — clarify whether edited photographs only, a highlight reel, or a full video edit is included, and confirm the turnaround timeline for delivery. For weddings, discuss whether the ROM solemnisation and the banquet are covered under one package or quoted separately. Ask about the travel surcharge for non-central venues and the wet-weather contingency if any portion of the shoot is outdoors. A deposit — typically 30–50% of the package value — is paid on signing to secure the date, with the balance due one to two weeks before the event.

To take the next step, reach out via WhatsApp or the enquiry form with your event date and a brief description of the occasion, and ask for a package breakdown that details hours of coverage, deliverables, and the deposit and balance schedule in writing.

Disappointing experience with Stephanie for our Actual Day photography. While Stephanie is positioned as a senior fine art photographer with years of experience, the photos unfortunately fell short of expectations — lacking in framing, attention to detail, and overall planning. Communication before the wedding was great, with two Zoom meetings and clear reminders. However, the first red flag was when Stephanie checked in two days before the wedding to reconfirm our schedule — something already clarified twice. I also shared our venue link beforehand, but based on the photos, it seems this wasn’t reviewed. There were moments that reflected a lack of attention to detail. For example, my cheongsam appeared noticeably crumpled in one photo, and I was not guided to adjust it. The only shots where it looked presentable were those I corrected myself after noticing. This is something I would have expected a senior photographer to pick up on. After I shared my feedback, the team did make an effort to improve the photos, which I appreciate. However, the review process was tedious — the re-uploaded photos weren’t in sequence. The final photo montage also included the intro audio of the song instead of the main track, which made me wonder if it was reviewed before being sent. At this point, I’m honestly just tired of asking for more amendments; it’s been a draining experience. We can’t redo our wedding, and it’s really disheartening to feel that the photos don’t reflect the memories we hoped to preserve. Perhaps it just wasn’t Stephanie’s best day, but I wanted to share my experience since I engaged her based on the many positive reviews here.

We had a wonderful experience with Stephanie as our wedding photographer. She is incredibly kind, patient and professional. We had several meetings with her before our actual ROM and she really took the time to understand what we wanted and what was important to us. On the actual day, she made us feel very comfortable and at ease and everything felt very natural. The photos turned out beautifully — she captured not only the moments between us, but also so many precious family moments that we will truly cherish forever. We are very happy with the photos and grateful to have had Stephanie as part of our special day. Highly recommended! 👍🏻👍🏻📸

We had an enjoyable experience partnering with Stephanie from Darren and Jade Photography as the photographer for our actual wedding day to capture all the moments. Having an experienced and professional photographer is essential in modern wedding ceremonies, as you will have to take many pictures throughout the day at different locations with different people. The photographer not only has to take the pictures but also coordinate where everyone is standing, keep track of the timing, and bring out the best in everyone. Stephanie managed to exceed our expectations in all areas. The entire process was very well managed as well, from confirming the schedule to advising us on what to expect on the actual day via Zoom, to the actual day itself, spotting spontaneous locations and moments to capture every possible memory. In addition, there is also a huge amount of post-production work involved, where you are able to choose many pictures to form a small montage with your favourite music, which turned out to be amazing! We hope you will consider their services when you plan for your own wedding in the future

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Darren Photography Singapore charge?

Darren Photography Singapore operates on a package pricing model, so the total cost depends on the type of event, hours of coverage, and deliverables included. As a market reference: wedding full-day photography packages in Singapore typically run S$2,500–6,000+, and full-day videography S$3,000–8,000+. Portrait or milestone sessions (newborn, birthday, baby full-month) tend to sit between S$500–2,000 depending on duration and output. When reviewing any package, confirm what is included: the number of hours of coverage, the number of edited images or video length, turnaround time, printing rights, and whether a second shooter or assistant is part of the scope. A deposit of roughly 30–50% is typically paid on signing to secure the date, with the balance due one to two weeks before the event. Travel charges for non-central or out-of-Singapore venues, and any rush-editing fees, should be confirmed in writing upfront. See the full Photography & Videography cost guide for Singapore →

How far ahead should I book Darren Photography Singapore?

For weddings, popular photographers in Singapore book out 6–12 months in advance, and peak Saturdays in March, April, October, and November fill earliest. If your wedding date is set, it is advisable to enquire as soon as possible — availability, not just preference, will drive the decision at short notice. For milestone sessions such as baby full-month, 100-day shoots, birthday parties, or corporate events, a booking lead time of 6–12 weeks is generally sufficient, though peak festive periods (December, Chinese New Year, National Day) compress availability. A date is only secured once the deposit is paid and the contract is signed — an informal expression of interest does not hold a slot. Confirm whether the date is firm on deposit, ask about the rescheduling policy if circumstances change, and enquire about wet-weather or venue-access contingency for outdoor elements of the shoot.

What does the deposit cover and what is the cancellation policy at Darren Photography Singapore?

The Singapore industry standard for photography and videography is a non-refundable deposit of 30–50% on signing, which covers the date hold and any pre-event planning or consultation hours. The balance is typically due one to two weeks before the event. Confirm in writing exactly what the deposit covers and under what circumstances, if any, a partial refund or date transfer is available. Cancellation policies vary by provider. Most photographers treat the deposit as non-refundable but allow a one-time rescheduling within a specified window — usually six to twelve months — without forfeiting the deposit, subject to date availability. If the event is cancelled entirely, the deposit is typically forfeited. Ask specifically about the position if a public-health restriction or force-majeure event forces a venue change or postponement. For setups involving HDB void decks, condo function rooms, or hotel venues, some locations require vendors to produce a public liability insurance certificate. Confirm with Darren Photography Singapore whether this documentation is available if your venue requests it.
