I recently completed a house renovation and opted for luxury vinyl tiles throughout the whole house except for toilet. Unfortunately, the experience has been far from luxurious due to significant issues with the flooring. From the moment the installation was complete, it was apparent that there were numerous and noticeable gaps between the tiles. These aren't just hairline cracks. This not only looks unsightly but also makes me question the water resistance and long-term durability of the flooring. Adding to the disappointment are the surprisingly sharp edges present on many of the tiles. This is a safety concern, especially for households with children or pets. I've had to be extra cautious while walking around, and I worry about accidental scrapes or cuts. Furthermore, large sections of the floor have a distinctly hollow feel when walked upon. This suggests an improper installation or a fundamental flaw with the tiles themselves. The lack of solid contact with the subfloor makes the floor feel cheap and flimsy, which is the opposite of what I expected from 'luxury' vinyl tiles. I contacted the company immediately upon noticing these issues, but their response lack thereof. Stating is due to dismantling of the damaged one to a new one would cause this issue. Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the quality and installation of these luxury vinyl tiles. The numerous gaps, sharp edges, and the pervasive hollow feel have significantly detracted from the enjoyment of my newly renovated home. I would strongly advise others to thoroughly inspect any vinyl tiles before and after installation and perhaps consider alternative products or installers to avoid the problems I have encountered.
