My first visit at Dr Paws Vet Care and it definitely won't be my last. I called in for an appointment at 4pm and was lucky to get an appointment slot on the same day, at 6pm. I was surprised that I was able to get an appointment even at such short notice. I brought my 3 cats to get a basic wellness check to get the all-clear for them to be healthy and well enough to stay at a cat boarding hotel. Dr Brenda Poh was very thorough in her examination of all 3 of my cats, taking her time with each cat. She was very meticulous, observant and attentive in each part of the examination. After performing an auscultation on one of my cats, we discovered something that we had not expected when coming for a basic wellness check. Her diligence and conscientiousness in her work is how she managed to detect a heart murmur in one of my cats. It showed me her skills, experience and knowledge that helped in discovering something we would not have known otherwise. She had then suggested for us to bring our cat for an echocardiogram to determine whether he could have an underlying heart condition. Without her diagnosis of a heart murmur, we would not have been aware as other vets had not picked up on it before. We're relieved to know that we had brought our cats to a reliable, trustworthy and dedicated vet like Dr Brenda Poh. Ratings: Cleanliness ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Clean seating/waiting area free of foul odors, stains on seats and pet waste Waiting time ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Arrived on time but waited for more than 10 minutes before consultation Comfortability ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Aircon temperature was not too cold for us and our cats - Clinic space may be a bit small if there are a lot of patients, luckily we were there with only one other person and had space for our 3 cats and their carriers Ambience ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Music played was a little too loud and it would have been better to have calming/relaxing music instead of pop music being played so it is calming for pets - Cosy interior and simple yet unique design (door had cute decals of pets and door handles were cute paws) Service ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - They have a WhatsApp number that makes it easy to contact them and send required documents - Vet and vet tech/nurses were friendly, warm and approachable - Vet clinic checked in with us through WhatsApp on how our cats are doing few days after visit, great "after-sales service" Accessibility ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Carpark outside vet clinic is private so you need to park outside the compound - May be tricky if you can't find parking outside - Opening hours are from 10am to 8pm (most clinics close at 6) - Located in the East which is convenient for us - 8 minute car ride from Bedok MRT Price ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Price for services was a bit more expensive than other clinics (eg. $50 for a medical report/vet memo) - Consultation was about standard pricing as most clinics ($54.50) Availability ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Managed to secure a same day appointment - Swift response when you call in to book, also convenient to communicate beforehand on Whatsapp as replies are quick Quality of care ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Dr Brenda displayed high standards of excellence and great knowledge in her work - Experienced vet with over 13 years of experience (clinic website states she's been a vet since 2012) - Made an informed diagnosis which was accurate (we got a second opinion from another vet clinic which confirmed the diagnosis) - Managed to handle my sensitive, anxious and wary cat with careful, considerate and safe approach by herself (other vet clinics have needed to have vet tech present to hold down my cat with towels) - Consult was over 2 hours but had no additional charges, she took her time with each of my cats and didn't rush through their examinations - Treats various species of pets from hamsters, guinea pigs to rabbits, cats and dogs (very wide range of expertise and diverse knowledge - I know that I can recommend her even for people with pocket pets) Overall 4.5/5 ⭐ Highly recommend visiting this clinic and getting your pets treated by Dr Brenda Poh.

My dog, Otah, loves Dr Brenda and the staff who are always so welcoming! They are always so patient with Otah and us. Still in awe at how fast Dr Brenda administers vaccination and kennel cough for our dog, and also always checking Otah meticulously. Dr Brenda also doesn't encourage more tests or medication if they aren't necessary, unlike some overselling vets! Dr Paws' after-service check-ins are also much appreciated - they check in to make sure Otah's symptoms are getting better, or she is handling the vaccination well etc.

Brought my Maltipoo, Nara, to Dr Paws Vet Care at Lucky Heights for her sterilisation and couldn’t be happier with the experience! Dr Brenda was incredibly gentle, caring, and professional throughout the whole process. She explained everything clearly, and Nara’s recovery was so smooth thanks to the excellent care and follow-up attention. The clinic team was friendly and reassuring too. Highly recommend Dr Paws and Dr Brenda to any pet parent looking for a kind and skilled vet!

I recently brought my adopted cat, Banana, to Dr Paws Clinic for a full health check-up, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the care and attention he received. During the visit, it was discovered that Banana had quite a bad flu, and the team made sure he was treated properly before moving forward with his vaccinations. What really impressed me was how attentive and thoughtful the staff were throughout his recovery. Over the two-week period while Banana was on medication, the clinic team called several times to check on his progress and ensure he was doing well. Once his flu cleared up, they promptly followed up to schedule his vaccination without any delay. The professionalism and compassion shown by Dr Paws Clinic have really given me peace of mind as a pet owner. It’s reassuring to know that Banana is in such good hands, and I’ll definitely continue trusting them with his future care. Highly recommended to any pet parents looking for a reliable and caring veterinary clinic!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does "Dr Paws Vet Care" charge?

Dr Paws Vet Care is priced at the mid-range tier ($$), but specific consultation and treatment fees are not publicly listed. In Singapore, a standard veterinary consultation typically ranges from S$30 to S$80, with costs rising depending on the treatment required, diagnostic tests, medications, or surgical procedures. Breed, size, and coat type can influence grooming-related add-ons if applicable, and specialist referrals or overnight stays will carry additional charges. It is advisable to ask for an itemised estimate before authorising any non-emergency procedure. See the full Veterinary Clinics cost guide for Singapore →

What vaccinations does "Dr Paws Vet Care" require?

For dogs, core vaccinations typically include DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, parainfluenza) and rabies; bordetella is often required if your dog will be in contact with other animals at boarding or daycare facilities. For cats, FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, panleukopenia) is the standard core vaccine. Most veterinary clinics and boarding facilities in Singapore expect vaccinations to be current, generally within the past 12 months. Bring your pet's vaccination booklet or records when attending your first appointment. If your pet's vaccinations have lapsed, Dr Paws Vet Care will be able to advise on an appropriate catch-up schedule during the consultation.

Is "Dr Paws Vet Care" licensed and insured?

Dr Paws Vet Care holds KakiList verified status, confirming that operating details and contact channels have been checked by a real person. The clinic carries a strong Google rating of 4.8 from 136 reviews. However, no specific regulatory licences are currently listed on this profile; for boarding or grooming operations, the relevant licence is issued by the Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS) under the National Parks Board. If you are entrusting your pet for procedures, boarding, or extended care, it is reasonable to ask the clinic directly about their AVS licensing status and what insurance or protocols are in place should your pet be injured or fall ill during their care. Visit the facility, check the vaccination policy, and confirm insurance before drop-off.
