Had my expired pacemaker changed and AV node ablation simultaneously by Dr Kevin Leong. He and his team were caring and meticulous, every thing completed well under local, nurses at ward 63, and Abbott staff who came to check the new pacemaker also showed me the Merlin home transmitter device. Everything was well organized by Dr Kevin n his team from Pre Op, financial advice to Post Op. I no longer need medication for palpitations (fast heart rate) Thank you, Dr Kevin n everyone at NUHCS.

I always though a common trait of doctor is to be precise and thorough especially when it applies to medication. On 17-Sep-25, we visited the heart clinic at F03-02. The visit was to go through the MRI scan results for my mother. The doctor also ordered a ECG for my mum on the on the spot (only took 3 minutes which I later knocked on the dictor's door and passed it to her nurse). The doctor did not explain to us on the ECG results in a private surrounding as she just answered through the open door that the ECG confirmed my mum fast heart beat, once a patient left her room and I knocked on her door. The worst is yet to be. At the pharmacy, I was supposed to collect a new heart prescription drug and 2 other existing medication. To my horror, I was informed a special cholesterol statin was also ordered when we were told by another doctor in clementi polyclinic in August 2025 to urgently stop this medication as they are trying to ascertain the impact on my mum's liver based on the blood test marker results. I told the pharmacist and she checked the system to confirmed the date the clementi polyclinic doctor ordered the statin to be put on hold. The pharmacist later called the cardiology doctor we met earlier to confirm if she was resuming the statin prescription. She confirmed to put in hold. A one stop history of a patient medication history is available and the doctor did not bother to refer to it. Imagine the consequence if no one bothers to keep track of this.
