I would like to sincerely thank Dr Sandeep Uppal for his professionalism and compassionate care. I was quite anxious about the nasendoscopy, but he explained every step clearly and performed the procedure very gently, which truly reassured me. Exceptional That is the key word to describe Dr Rebecca Heywood. Exceptional in all aspects when under her care. I was referred to her to explore getting a Cochlear Implant. From the first interaction with her clinic and herself, I felt at ease. There were three key things (in a very long list) that really made her an exceptional cochlear implant surgeon 1) Her ability to translate medical jargon into plain english. The time she took to explain/ demonstrate / provide collateral was exceptional 2) Her compassion, attention to detail and positivity throughout the entire process, from the initial consultation, regular checks, surgical and post-surgical care. (Nothing was ever a nuisance – she understood the rollercoaster of emotions and really helped me to arrive at a fully informed decision about which brand a week before my surgery date) 3) Very well connected and highly regarded therefore will always give unbiased information and provides referrals to post surgical support (e.g. audiologists, speech therapist) when necessary Thank you Dr Rebecca for implanting me in September 2023. I have absolutely no regrets and am very grateful for your services.
