About D and S Audiology

About D and S Audiology

D and S Audiology is a specialist audiology practice based at Woods Square in Woodlands, offering paediatric audiology services across Singapore. The clinic holds a 5/5 rating from 247 Google reviews — a robust sample that reflects consistent patient experience. Pricing is positioned in the mid-range ($$) for private specialist audiology; specific consultation and assessment fees were not published at the time of listing and should be confirmed directly with the clinic. No MOH Healthcare Services Licence or SMC registration details were available in the submitted data — parents are strongly advised to verify these before booking.

Families typically begin with an enquiry about the type of hearing assessment required — newborn hearing screening follow-up, diagnostic auditory brainstem response (ABR), behavioural audiometry for toddlers, or school-age hearing evaluation. For paediatric audiology specifically, the pathway often starts with a referral from a paediatrician, GP, or the KK Women's and Children's Hospital or National University Hospital audiology departments, though direct self-referral to a private audiology clinic is possible. Parents should bring any prior hearing screening results, developmental history, and relevant medical records to the first appointment. Audiologists (not medical doctors) are regulated under the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) in Singapore, so it is worth confirming the audiologist's AHPC registration and whether a supervising ENT specialist is available for medical decisions such as hearing aid prescription or cochlear implant referral.

To take the next step, contact D and S Audiology via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form to confirm appointment availability, the specific assessments offered for your child's age and presenting concern, and the fee structure before booking.

I was recommended by friends to see Mr Ho about my hearing and decided to see him to buy a pair of hearing aids. He has been more than helpful in guiding me to choose the right hearing aids based on my hearing, needs and budget. Appreciate the patience and care that he has shownn me throughout this journey. Highly recommend their clinic. Good job :)!

I brought my mom to D&S for a check up as she has been complaining of not understanding her colleagues clearly at work. She also had weird stares in the train when answering the phone which led her to feeling insecured. The appt booking was seamless. I received a reply 15 mins after my enquiry. The clinic is cosy and tidy. The audiologist saw my mom exactly at the appt time and they gave a detailed analysis of the test results. After the appt, my mom and I were clear on the next steps which is to purchase a pair of hearing aids. Thank you D&S, highly recommended!!

Sen Kee was very patient and professional when testing my 6-month-old son. He explained the process clearly and handled my baby gently, which helped put us at ease. We appreciated his calm approach and the care he showed throughout the session.

I have been receiving complaints from the people in my coworking space that I am getting louder during my online calls. This problem started abt 3 mths ago and I decided that I might not be suited to work in a shared space, hence I moved back home to work. My sister suggested that I consult an audiologist and after a quick search on Google, I proceeded to book an appt with D&S Audiology as they have many 5 star reviews. It was my first time seeing an audiologist and I had no idea what to expect. Sen Kee was very assuring and gave me good advice on how I can navigate my lifestyle around my declined hearing ability. I am glad that I consulted him early. Anyone who has hearing problems should definitely seek a professional early, instead of waiting for the problem to deteriorate as hearing problems might be not reversible

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does D and S Audiology charge?

D and S Audiology is priced in the mid-range ($$) for private audiology, but specific fees were not published at the time of this listing. For context, private audiology consultations in Singapore typically run S$80–180 for a standard hearing assessment, with diagnostic ABR (auditory brainstem response) testing ranging from S$300–600 and comprehensive paediatric evaluations potentially higher. Hearing aid fitting and dispensing is a separate cost, usually S$1,500–6,000+ per aid depending on the technology tier. GST applies on private clinical services. MediSave generally does not cover outpatient audiology assessments directly, though some costs may be claimable under an Integrated Shield Plan depending on your policy terms. For any planned assessment or hearing aid fitting, request a written fee estimate upfront so you can clarify insurance and out-of-pocket portions before the appointment. Is D and S Audiology MOH-licensed and how do I verify the audiologist?

No MOH Healthcare Services Licence or professional registration details were listed in the submitted data for D and S Audiology. Audiology clinics dispensing hearing aids are required to hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence for the premises under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory. Individual audiologists practising in Singapore should be registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC); you can search by name on the AHPC public register at careers.moh.gov.sg to confirm registration status. For paediatric cases where medical decisions are involved — such as cochlear implant candidacy or surgical referral — an ENT (ear, nose and throat) specialist with SMC registration and FAMS or FRCS accreditation in Otorhinolaryngology is typically part of the care pathway. Confirm whether D and S Audiology works alongside a registered ENT specialist and whether any such referral is coordinated through the clinic. Verify the MOH clinic licence and the audiologist's AHPC registration before booking, particularly for diagnostic assessments on young children where accuracy of results is critical.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at D and S Audiology?

Outpatient audiology assessments at a private clinic are not typically claimable under MediSave's standard S$500/700 outpatient withdrawal limits, which are designed for GP and CDMP-listed chronic condition management rather than allied health diagnostics. However, if the clinic holds an MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the assessment is conducted under a referring doctor's order, some Integrated Shield Plan (IP) policies may cover part of the cost — confirm this with your insurer before the appointment. For hearing aids specifically, the Assistive Technology Fund administered by SG Enable provides subsidies for Singapore Citizens and PRs with diagnosed hearing loss, including children — this is worth enquiring about separately. Some employers' group insurance plans also cover hearing assessments and aids as a benefit. For any planned assessment, request a written fee breakdown from D and S Audiology that separates the consultation, diagnostic test, and any device or fitting charges so you can submit a pre-authorisation request to your insurer with accurate figures.
