About "Fingerpower Music"

Prospective students or parents can begin by enquiring about level and syllabus fit — whether that is beginner piano, music theory, ABRSM examination preparation, or another instrument — and whether lessons are available on a one-to-one or group basis. Fingerpower Music can be reached by phone or via an online enquiry form. It is worth confirming term commitment expectations, lesson frequency, and whether sessions are conducted in-person at the PLQ Mall location or available online. Asking about the instructor's background, the instruments and examination syllabuses covered, and what materials or books are required will help you assess fit before committing.

To take the next step, use the enquiry form or call directly to ask about a trial class, check current availability for your preferred day and time, and confirm the per-session or term fee before enrolling.

Very nice and patient teacher and good music school for young child to get started with playing the piano. Teacher Regina’s teaching keeps my child interested in and passionate about playing the piano. Very friend staff too at the center, thank you Elvis!

I used to play piano as a pre-teen and unfortunately had to stop. After 40+ years without playing a single note, I courageously decided to give it a try again. I was warmly welcomed to Fingers Waltz Music at PLQ by Elvis, who not only was very professional and promptly answered all my questions but who also celebrated my decision. I was so absolutely impressed by teacher Sammi’s caring way of teaching and the encouragement she gave me even when I myself was unsure whether I’d be able to play a few notes after such a long time. What happened? By the end of our FIRST lesson, I played a song with her! I was so touched by it that I could not hold back my tears as I had a flashback moment as powerful as the one shown in the movie Ratatouille when Anton Ego tastes ratatouille. :) Amazing! The school is very conveniently located, the premises are comfortable, clean and pleasant, and the staff is simply amazing. I highly recommend Fingers Waltz Music at PLQ!

Elvis was patient in explaining and addressing all my concerns about my daughter’s lesson during registration. Ji Yen, the piano teacher was professional in engaging my daughter during the trial lesson, and suggested duration of the lesson suited for my daughter’s focus and attentiveness. Overall the experience has been pleasant.

I am William's mother. My son has been studying piano at Finger Waltz Music School for more than 2 years. The teachers and staff here are very friendly and the learning environment is also very good. In the past two years of study, I have felt the dedication of teacher Ji Yen. In addition to giving kind and patient guidance in class, the teacher will also adjust the content of each course according to the child's learning situation. The child follows the teacher's pace in learning step by step. Each course is a new exploration and always full of gains. I hope that my son can continue to learn with the teacher in the coming days and continue to move towards the road to the palace of music. Thank you!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does "Fingerpower Music" charge per session?

Fingerpower Music does not publicly list its fees, so you will need to enquire directly for a current price. As a general guide, music tuition in Singapore typically runs from S$30–60 per session for group classes and S$60–150 or more per session for one-to-one lessons, depending on the instructor's experience, the instrument, and the lesson duration. Some schools charge by the term rather than per session, and trial classes may be offered at a reduced rate or as a standalone booking. Ask whether there are additional costs for materials, examination entry fees (for example ABRSM or Trinity), or music books. Sibling or package discounts are sometimes available. Can I try a class before committing?

Many music schools in Singapore offer a trial class, either at a reduced fee or at the standard session rate, before you commit to a term or package. A trial is a useful way to assess whether the teaching style suits the student, whether the pace and level are appropriate, and whether there is a good rapport between the teacher and the student. When attending a trial, observe how the instructor structures the lesson, whether they explain concepts clearly, and how they respond to the student's existing ability. For younger children in particular, engagement and encouragement during the first session are a strong indicator of long-term motivation. Contact Fingerpower Music directly to confirm their trial class policy and what it covers.

What are the tutor's credentials?

Fingerpower Music has not published specific information about its instructors' qualifications on the listing, so it is worth asking directly. Relevant credentials to look for in a music teacher include a performance or music education degree from a recognised conservatoire or university, practical teaching experience with students at your child's level, and familiarity with the examination syllabus you intend to follow — such as ABRSM, Trinity College London, or LCM. For teachers preparing students for graded examinations, ask about their students' past pass rates and grade results. Years of teaching experience and whether the instructor is themselves an active performer can also be useful indicators of teaching quality. Request this information before committing to a term.
