Decent Job, But Communication and Expectations Need Work 😕 I engaged Floor Melody to repolish my timber floors, and while they got the job done, there were some major letdowns. Firstly, they promised a 1-day job. At the end of Day 1, I specifically told them the master room needed to be done by tomorrow 3 pm. and they didn't meet that deadline. Big miss on managing expectations there. I also felt they could've done a better job explaining the color process - I wasn't clear on how many shades down the wood would be after polishing. I mentioned to the team immediately that the color is too light, the resolution that they gave was: rebuffing for 800 and varnishing 400. The original quote for polishing was around 850. Should have been more clear on the start. This way it seems like i’m about to be charged double. They should have explicitly show how much lighter the wood would look by showing past projects and advise that without adding varnishing this would happened. The putty work on gaps was okay most are still intact, though some cracked on day 3😬 also the silicone job it's messy. Overall, decent job on the polishing itself, but communication and expectation management need serious work. Wouldn't hurt to be more detailed with visual examples about the process and timelines upfront.

Went to Floor Melody without an appointment but a very professional and friendly Gordon Chin attended to me and my friend anyway! No pushy sale tactics, no pressure selling and no criticism of competitors which I really hate! He did a site visit on the same day and provided me a quote very fast. Installation was done today. A one-man show by a Myanmar worker. He was very efficient and completed the work with a lot of pride. My house looks so cozy and it's truly the look I want to achieve. Price for their vinyl flooring is also reasonable! Highly recommend this company. Look for Gordon.
