About "GATE Junior"
GATE Junior is a preschool and kindergarten provider operating in Singapore, listed under the childcare category on KakiList. The centre is KakiList verified and ACRA registered, which confirms its operating details and business registration have been checked. It holds a perfect 5-out-of-5 rating on Google, though this is based on only six reviews, so that signal should be treated as directional rather than conclusive. The centre is located at 178 Clemenceau Avenue, Haw Par Glass Tower, and lists coverage as islandwide.
Families considering GATE Junior should begin by enquiring about available slots for their intended start month, as preschool and kindergarten places — particularly for younger age groups — can fill up well in advance. When you make contact, it is worth asking about the daily routine, the ratio of educators to children, and the settling-in arrangement for new enrolees. A centre visit is strongly recommended before committing, so you can meet the lead teacher and observe the classroom environment directly. Parents of Singapore citizen children should also ask the team about ECDA subsidy eligibility, as applicable government subsidies can meaningfully reduce out-of-pocket fees.
The most direct next step is to reach out to GATE Junior via phone or the enquiry form listed on their profile to ask about current vacancy, the earliest available intake date, and to arrange a centre visit at a convenient time.
Visit the centre in person, meet the lead teacher, and read the parent contract before signing.

My daughter has been attending this preschool since N2, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. The environment is warm, nurturing, and truly child-centred. Every day she comes home excited to share what she learned — from creative activities to new social skills. The teachers deserve special praise. They are patient, caring, and genuinely dedicated to the children’s well-being and development. It’s clear they put a lot of thought into their lessons and take the time to understand each child’s personality and needs. My daughter absolutely loves her teachers, and we’ve seen her grow in confidence and independence since joining the school. We are very grateful to have found such a supportive and positive preschool. Highly recommended to any parent looking for a safe, loving, and enriching place for their child.
I am immensely grateful to the teachers and staff of Gate Junior as I watched my son journey from N1 to preschool graduation. The school prepared him so well for primary school and we do not need to worry about his basics like reading or writing. He loves going to school everyday and even requested us to pick him up later! The school caters to both gifted and ordinary kids. The teachers are so dedicated and have gone above the call of duty. I couldn’t have asked for more in a preschool.
My son thrived in this pre-school, he was engaged and challenged. His teachers, teacher Qian Hui and Cao laoshi were nurturing and very dedicated to kids. They went over and beyond their duties to ensure that each child felt valued in school. He has since moved on to primary one this year, ever ready, thanks to them! Ms Carol was also very organised, warm and friendly with the parents and we were always kept informed of what was happening in school.
This is a great preschool! My girl now speaks so much better after starting school here. The teachers are very passionate about educating and nurturing the kids and I can tell that they really love children. My girl tells me she likes going to school and I feel reassured knowing that. She continues to surprise me with new skills every week. At only 2 years old, she is able to spell out her name. I am truly impressed. Thanks to all the wonderful and caring teaching and non-teaching staff at Gate Junior Haw Par! ☺️
My boys have been with this school since mid-2022, when the childcare first opened. The school’s curriculum is wonderful and provides a fun yet challenging environment for higher-ability kids to grow. My boys have become independent young men and they amaze me daily with the exposure they have gotten from their education at GATE (debates on crispr, solving algebra at k2, recognising the names of famous paintings, etc). Most importantly, the boys enjoy their lessons because the fantastic teachers make class fun and stimulating. Sometimes, the boys even ask to be dropped at 7am for classes! Lastly, we do late pickup due to work and I’ve often spotted my boys playing UNO with their teachers or even playing with dough or kinetic sand at almost 7pm. The teachers also work closely with parents to help the children improve on their behaviour. My boys have grown so much over the last 1.5 years at GATE and now I’m just hoping for GATE to open a student care after my boys graduate! Thank you to all the teachers at GATE Orchard!

GATE Junior's profile indicates a mid-range price point (marked as $$), but a specific monthly fee has not been published. When enquiring, ask for the full fee breakdown, including any one-time registration fee, the deposit amount (many centres require the equivalent of one to two months' fees), and any charges for uniforms or personal accident insurance. Childcare and kindergarten fees in Singapore are GST-exempt, so the figure quoted should be the amount you pay. Always confirm in writing what is and is not included in the monthly fee before signing the parent contract. See the full childcare cost guide for Singapore →
Singapore citizen children attending licensed childcare centres may qualify for the Basic Subsidy — up to S$600 per month for infant care and S$300 per month for childcare — regardless of household income. Working mothers employed for at least 56 hours per month may also be eligible for the Additional Working Mother Child Care Subsidy, which provides further monthly support on an income-tested basis. For lower-income families, the Additional Subsidy (income-tested) can bring combined government support up to S$710 per month or more. Singapore Permanent Resident children are eligible for partial subsidies only. Kindergarten-level enrolees may also be assessed under KiFAS. Subsidy quantum and eligibility criteria are updated periodically — visit the ECDA website directly for the most current figures before making enrolment decisions.
Popular preschools and kindergartens in Singapore can fill up three to twelve months ahead of the intended start date, with January intake being the busiest period of the year. Infant care vacancies in particular tend to be secured well in advance given the limited number of places relative to demand. To check current availability at GATE Junior, it is advisable to contact the centre as early as possible — ideally six to nine months before your child's intended start month. When a place is offered, centres typically require payment of a registration fee and a deposit to secure the slot. Reach out via phone or the enquiry form on their profile to ask about the current waitlist position and next available intake.
