Eniyan runs his own electrical company, and before engaging him, I did my homework and compared prices online from several vendors. Although his quote wasn’t comparable to the lowest prices on the internet, I don’t believe in being penny wise and pound foolish — and I’m really glad I went with him. In hindsight, it’s plausible that his higher quote already factored in everything upfront, without any hidden costs that might come later with other vendors. I learnt from this experience that it is wise to have a proper assessment first, then there would not be unpleasant surprises or shortcuts resulting in inferior workmanship. His work was excellent, the materials were of good quality, the parts he got were branded and he was meticulous down to the smallest details. He stayed longer than expected, included some additional work at no extra cost, and even added thoughtful touches — like covering an exposed wire — that I only noticed after he’d left.
