When reaching out to Good Dog Academy, it helps to have a few details ready: your dog's breed, size, age, and general temperament, along with any specific behavioural concerns you want to address. Bring proof of up-to-date vaccinations, as most reputable trainers in Singapore require this before commencing sessions. Discuss whether a drop-off arrangement or a home-visit format suits your household better, and ask whether a trial session is available so both your dog and you can assess the trainer's approach before committing to a recurring schedule. Clarify the training methodology, typical session duration, and how many sessions are usually recommended for your dog's profile.
To take the next step, reach out to Good Dog Academy via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form with your dog's details and a brief description of your training goals, and ask for a session outline and fee confirmation before booking.
Visit the facility, check the vaccination policy, and confirm insurance before drop-off.
Waggie is a fantastic dog training school, and Patrick brings years of experience in dog training. His methods are tried and tested, and most importantly, very easy to understand and follow. The lessons are engaging and enjoyable, and while there is homework involved, it’s practical, helpful, and manageable. Patrick explains things clearly and consistently, which makes the training process feel structured and achievable. If you’re considering dog training but skeptical, I would highly recommend going ahead with Waggie. We’ve trained two dogs with Patrick in the past with great success, and we’ve been very happy with the results. If we ever get another dog, we would definitely return to Patrick again.
We had a fantastic experience at Waggie Dog Training School. The trainers are not only very experienced but also incredibly friendly and approachable, which made the process enjoyable for both me and my dog. A special thank you to our trainer, Patrick! After attending just a few of his sessions, my dog able to perform "auto-sit" behavior. It's amazing to see the results so quickly. I highly recommend Waggie, and especially Patrick, for any dog owner looking for effective and kind training.
Highly recommend Waggie Dog School! The training is clear, structured, and very effective. I saw real improvement in my dog’s obedience and focus after just a few lessons. Patrick is extremely experienced and explains things in a way that’s easy for owners to follow. Great learning environment for both dogs and humans!
Our first dog was already trained by Patrick and we saw all the benefits of it, so it was a no brainer for us to send our second puppy to Patrick’s obedience school. His methods are backed by years of experience and we trust it entirely. It brings us great joy and relief to have happy, well trained dogs who we trust to listen to us whenever needed.
I sent both of my Mame Shiba siblings for training and the experience has been nothing but amazing. Our trainer, Patrick is patient, knowledgeable and truly understands how to work with dogs of different personalities. Daiki and Rikka made great progress in their obedience and confidence. Every session was clear, encouraging and tailored to their needs. I could see the care and dedication put into helping them learn and adjust. I am very happy with the results and highly recommend this trainer to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and effective.

Good Dog Academy is priced at the $$ level, which in Singapore's pet training market typically corresponds to a moderate per-session rate. Exact fees depend on factors such as your dog's size, breed, temperament, and the type of training programme — basic obedience, behavioural correction, or advanced skills will each carry different pricing. When requesting a quote, ask specifically about the per-session rate, any package discounts for booking multiple sessions, and whether there is a surcharge for home-visit arrangements compared with attending the trainer's base at Bishan. Add-on services such as follow-up consultations or written training plans may be priced separately. See the full pet training cost guide for Singapore →
For dogs, most Singapore pet trainers require up-to-date DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, parainfluenza) vaccination and, depending on the setting, bordetella (kennel cough) — the latter is particularly common where dogs interact in group classes or shared spaces. Vaccination records should generally be current within the past 12 months. Bring your pet's vaccination booklet or a copy of the vet's vaccination certificate when attending your first session. If your dog is not yet fully vaccinated or is overdue, schedule a vet visit before enquiring about a start date. Contact Good Dog Academy directly to confirm their specific vaccination policy, as requirements can vary by programme type.
Good Dog Academy is registered with ACRA, confirming it operates as a legitimate business entity in Singapore. It is also KakiList verified, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed by a real person. For pet training services, the Animal and Veterinary Service (AVS) under the National Parks Board is the primary regulatory body in Singapore; AVS licensing requirements apply most directly to boarding and grooming facilities rather than training per se. Nonetheless, it is good practice to ask the provider directly about their public liability insurance coverage and the protocol in place should a dog be injured or become unwell during a session. Visit the facility or training venue if possible, and confirm these details before your first appointment.
