About Guitar Emerge
Guitar Emerge is a music school based in Potong Pasir, operating from Blk 147 Potong Pasir Ave 1, with islandwide coverage. The school is KakiList verified and ACRA registered. Parents and adult learners enquiring about lessons should ask about level and syllabus fit — whether the curriculum aligns with ABRSM, RockSchool, or a non-examination performance track — as well as the format (group class or one-to-one instruction) and any term commitment required. It is worth clarifying whether lessons are conducted in-person at the Potong Pasir centre or available online, what the materials requirements are, and how progress is assessed over time. Younger beginners will benefit from asking about the minimum recommended starting age and how lessons are structured to maintain engagement.

Big shoutout to my guitar teacher, Calvin! 🎸 Thanks to his clear, patient, and practical teaching style, I’ve improved so much in my playing. His techniques really work—they’ve helped me understand the guitar in a way that finally clicks. Every lesson is something I look forward to. If you’re looking to learn or level up your guitar skills, I can’t recommend Calvin enough from Guitar Emerge 👏🏻
I had a very enriching and pleasant experience with Guitar emerge! Coach Calvin customized my lessons according to my learning needs. He guided me by explaining the thinking process behind the theory, made information into bite sized portions, gave me tips on how to practice at home and equipped me with the tools on how to improvise my playing. He made every lesson challenging, yet at the same time fun and engaging! These made me want to practice more at home, so that I am more prepared to receive what is in-store for the next lesson! Being a seasoned guitarist myself, I've always hoped to grow, but always found myself feeling stagnant - not able to make much progress. However, over a month of intensive 'crash' course lessons and under the guidance of Coach Calvin, I saw myself improved exponentially, and learning expedited! I was finally able to break out from my stagnant shell! What I couldn't achieve learning by myself over the years, Coach Calvin was able to help me in a month! Thank you Guitar Emerge!
🤘As one of their students, the teachers are very patient and understanding. They provided the students with the confidence and support I needed. Calvin, my teacher is an electric guitar maestro 🤘and an awesome person to play electric guitar with. Within just under a year, I have tremendously improved in my playing. One lesson from him is "If you are playing well during practice you're not practicing at all" 🎸.
Teacher Calvin is patient, encouraging, and really passionate about music. He takes time to explain techniques clearly and always creates a fun, comfortable environment to learn in. I’ve grown a lot in both confidence and skill since starting lessons with him. Highly recommend him to anyone looking to learn the guitar!
Teacher Lebbuse teaches us wholeheartedly and sincerely, passing his knowledge down to us. He has a great passion for worship and guiding us in how we can use guitar to worship as well. Excellent!

Guitar Emerge displays a mid-range price indicator, but exact per-session fees, monthly package rates, and term fees are not published on this listing. Music schools in Singapore typically charge S$30–80 per session for group classes and S$60–150 per session for one-to-one lessons, depending on the instrument, level, and duration. It is worth asking whether a trial class is available and at what cost, whether materials or books are charged separately, and whether sibling or package discounts apply. Some schools charge a registration or enrolment fee at the start of each term. See the full music schools cost guide for Singapore →
Many music schools in Singapore offer a trial class — sometimes at a reduced rate, sometimes at the standard session fee — before requiring a term commitment. A trial is the most reliable way to assess whether the teaching style suits the learner, whether the pace and level feel appropriate, and whether the student leaves the session motivated to continue. When attending a trial, pay attention to how the instructor explains technique, manages the student's attention, and gives feedback. For younger children especially, engagement and encouragement matter as much as technical instruction. Contact Guitar Emerge directly via WhatsApp or phone to ask whether a trial class is available and what it costs.
Guitar Emerge's teaching credentials are not detailed on this listing. When enquiring, it is reasonable to ask about the instructors' formal qualifications — such as a music degree or diploma from a recognised conservatoire or local institution — as well as any examining board affiliations (for example, ABRSM, Trinity, or RockSchool accreditation). Years of teaching experience and familiarity with the relevant syllabus or examination track are also worth confirming, particularly if you are preparing a student for graded examinations. If lessons are for recreational or performance purposes rather than examinations, ask how the curriculum is structured and how progress is tracked over time. Contact Guitar Emerge directly to request this information before committing to a term.
