About HANIS Montessori

About "HANIS Montessori"

HANIS Montessori is a Montessori-approach infant care centre located at Elias Mall in Pasir Ris, operating under the Childcare category and verified by KakiList. The centre holds a Google rating of 4 out of 5, though this is based on only 3 reviews and should be treated as directional rather than conclusive. Fees are positioned at the mid-range ($$) on a monthly recurring basis.

Families considering HANIS Montessori for infant care should begin by enquiring about slot availability for their intended start month, as infant care places — particularly in the eastern region — tend to fill well in advance. During your initial enquiry, ask about the infant-to-caregiver ratio, the daily routine, and the settling-in period so your child can transition at a comfortable pace. It is also worth clarifying whether the centre is ECDA-approved, as this determines eligibility for government subsidies available to Singapore citizen children.

The most practical next step is to contact HANIS Montessori directly by phone or through their enquiry form to check current vacancy, arrange a centre visit, and request the full fee schedule before making any commitment. Listing data is incomplete — contact "HANIS Montessori" directly to confirm details.

I had high hopes for Hanis as I was looking to place my son in an Islamic preschool for a strong foundation. We were invited for a school tour and went with positive expectations. For me, choosing a school is very much about first impression and overall vibe, similar to choosing a home. You usually know when it feels right the moment you arrive. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. We were welcomed by the principal, but the interaction felt quite unwelcoming. I am not sure if she was shy or simply uninterested, but there was little warmth. The tour itself was extremely brief, less than two minutes, and felt rushed. It was more about pointing out spaces rather than explaining how they are used or how learning happens in each area. The school follows an open concept layout where multiple class levels share the same space, separated only by class grouping. There are very few rooms or partitions, so noise easily carries across classes. It felt like three different levels sharing one large living room. Only the upper kindergarten classes have their own room. Personally, I found the overall space quite small for a school setting and potentially disruptive for focused learning. We were also told that projector screens are used for some lessons, so parents who are particular about screen time may want to take note. We then sat down to discuss details with the principal, but again the interaction felt flat. There was no smile or welcoming energy, just a straightforward explanation of fees and policies, including the requirement to pay fees two months in advance. After the visit, I went home feeling internally disappointed. We had been quite keen to enrol because of the Islamic curriculum, but the overall experience and atmosphere did not match our expectations. Following up later via WhatsApp to clarify fee payment matters was also discouraging, as responses were slow and communication felt unresponsive. This is just my personal experience, but I felt it was important to share honestly for other parents considering the school.

For 2years I was persistant to enrol my youngest here. And she got it after turning 3yo. I literally let go, and trust the process. Alhamdulillah, in a few months she'll end her preschool year. Am blessed and thankful for all the positive exposures the teachers and staff had given. And bestowing confidence to my girl at her best.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does "HANIS Montessori" charge per month?

HANIS Montessori is priced at the mid-range ($$) on a monthly recurring fee structure, which is the standard model for infant care in Singapore. Before enrolment, ask the centre for a complete breakdown that includes any one-time registration fee, the deposit amount (typically equivalent to two months' fees), and any charges for uniforms or group insurance. Childcare and infant care fees are GST-exempt in Singapore, so no GST should be added to the monthly invoice. Fee structures can vary depending on the number of hours per day and the age band of the child, so confirm these details directly with the centre. See the full childcare cost guide for Singapore →

What subsidies can I claim at "HANIS Montessori"?

Singapore citizen children enrolled in an ECDA-licensed infant care centre may be eligible for the Basic Subsidy of up to S$600 per month for infant care. Working mothers who clock 56 hours or more of employment per month may additionally qualify for the Working Mother's Child Development Co-Savings (WMS), and households that are income-tested may access the Additional Subsidy, which can bring the combined monthly support to S$710 or more. Permanent Resident children receive partial subsidies at lower rates. Subsidy availability depends on whether HANIS Montessori holds an ECDA licence — confirm this with the centre directly. Quantum figures are subject to periodic revision, so always verify current rates with ECDA before planning your budget.

Is there a waitlist at "HANIS Montessori"?

Infant care places in Singapore are among the most competitive in the childcare sector. For popular centres, it is common to enquire three to twelve months before the intended start date, with January being the peak intake month when many families begin new enrolments. Even if a place is not immediately available, registering your interest early puts you in queue for any vacancy that arises. To secure a confirmed slot, centres typically require a registration fee and a deposit. Contact HANIS Montessori directly by phone or through their enquiry form to check current availability and understand their specific registration process.
