About HWA Dial-A-Ride
HWA Dial-A-Ride is a senior transport provider operating islandwide across Singapore, listed on KakiList with verified contact details. The service has received a 4.3-out-of-5 rating across 32 Google reviews, a moderate sample that offers a reasonable directional signal. Families arranging transport for elderly relatives will typically want to discuss the nature and frequency of journeys — whether for medical appointments, dialysis runs, day-care attendance, or social outings — along with the mobility requirements of the senior passenger, including wheelchair accessibility, walking-frame accommodation, or the need for a driver assistant. It is worth clarifying whether bookings are made per trip or through a recurring schedule, how much advance notice is required, and how cancellations or changes are handled. Availability across weekdays, weekends, and public holidays should also be confirmed, as these details vary significantly between providers.
To get started, reach HWA Dial-A-Ride by phone or through the enquiry form, and have to hand the pickup and drop-off locations, a rough weekly schedule of journeys, and any mobility or medical considerations that may affect the vehicle or driver requirements.
Insist on a trial period and put the care plan, hours, and rate in writing.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A truly compassionate and impactful organisation The Handicaps Welfare Association at its Jurong Point branch is doing deeply meaningful work for people with disabilities, and it shows in every aspect of their approach. Their commitment to dignity, inclusion, and genuine empowerment goes far beyond token charity. What stands out most is how thoughtfully and respectfully they engage with beneficiaries—treating them not as objects of sympathy, but as individuals with potential, agency, and rights. On a personal level, the services provided here played a significant role in my recovery after an ankle fracture and dislocation. The physiotherapy support I received was structured, consistent, and tailored to my specific needs, which made a real difference in restoring mobility, strength, and confidence during what could otherwise have been a very discouraging recovery period. I would especially like to acknowledge the exceptional physiotherapists who provide consistently high-quality, compassionate care—Mr Faizal and Miss Winnie. Their professionalism, patience, and genuine dedication to their clients truly stand out. They take the time to understand individual limitations, explain each step of the therapy process clearly, and deliver treatment with both expertise and empathy. Their support was instrumental in my healing journey. The association also does an excellent job of creating awareness in the wider community, challenging stigma and encouraging a more inclusive mindset toward people with disabilities. Transparency, consistency, and genuine care seem to be core values here, which makes supporting or engaging with this organisation feel truly worthwhile. Organisations like the Handicaps Welfare Association play a crucial role in building a more equitable and humane society. I have deep respect for the work they do and would strongly encourage others to support, collaborate with, or learn from them. Highly recommended.
Was here for volunteering to help prepare the donation tin boxes for their upcoming fund raiser. Very nice to see people helping each other despite their challenges. The center provides help to the physically challenged folks with financial and livelihood support and also rehabilitation and welfare to needy. It was a fulfilling experience for me to help in my own little way.
This is a disappointed organization i have come across. My husband used to be a member many years ago. I had received from time to time their SMS messages even after I had called to informed them that my husband was no longer a member and he had passed away. Until today I still received yet another SMS! Very annoying. This shows that the staffs are not responding to our feedback at all.
This is the first time I used them and my appointment is the next day. The lady called up and confirm the timing but they got the wrong timing and she commented that I should be the one who tell them what time to pick up. Please lor, they are the one who is experience and expect me as a layman to advise them. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. She still blamed me for giving them the appointment time instead of the pick up time and worst of all, her tone is very impatient !!! In the first place, their staff ask for my dad appointment time and told me they will confirm again the pick up time when the date is near. I told her to speak to their customer service who pick up the call and not to me as a customer. They are trained and should be more professional to advise the pick up time. Let's hope everything turn out fine on the pick up day. First impression already negative..... :-(
Doing my rehab at the centre. Friendly physio & occupational therapists. Punctual pick up by the HWA transport with friendly & helpful driver.

HWA Dial-A-Ride has not published a detailed rate card at the time of listing, but senior transport in Singapore is typically priced per trip, with fares varying by distance, vehicle type (standard car versus wheelchair-accessible vehicle), and whether a driver assistant is included. Some providers also offer monthly packages for regular routes such as dialysis or day-care runs, which can work out more economical than booking individual trips. Public holiday and after-hours surcharges are common across the market, so confirm these when enquiring. Ask whether waiting time at the destination (for example, during a clinic appointment) is billed separately. See the full eldercare cost guide for Singapore →
HWA Dial-A-Ride is a transport service rather than a residential or home-care provider, so the live-in versus visit-based distinction does not apply directly. The relevant question for families is whether the service can accommodate ad hoc one-off bookings or whether it operates primarily on a recurring scheduled basis — for example, fixed weekly dialysis or physiotherapy runs. It is worth asking how far in advance bookings must be made, what the cancellation window is, and whether a dedicated driver is assigned for regular passengers (which builds familiarity and trust for the elderly traveller) or whether drivers rotate. Confirm also whether a family member or carer can ride along if the senior requires supervision during transit.
For senior transport services in Singapore, families should ask whether drivers have received any formal training in assisting elderly or mobility-impaired passengers — for example, safe boarding and alighting procedures, wheelchair securing, and basic first-aid awareness. This is particularly relevant if the passenger has dementia, post-stroke mobility issues, or requires oxygen equipment during the journey. Confirm that the vehicles carry appropriate commercial passenger insurance and that the company holds the relevant LTA vocational licence for private hire or bus services. Public liability coverage for passenger incidents should also be requested in writing before committing to regular bookings.
