Families considering Ilham Childcare are encouraged to enquire about available slots for their intended start month as early as possible, particularly for infant care places, which tend to fill well ahead of the January intake peak. When reaching out, ask about the infant-to-caregiver ratio, the centre's daily routine and curriculum approach, and the settling-in period for new children. It is also worth discussing ECDA subsidies, which are available to Singapore citizen children and can meaningfully reduce monthly fees — the centre or ECDA's website can help clarify eligibility and current quantum.

Dear Management, I would like to raise a concern regarding the way I was treated by the administrative staff during the classphoto collection of my kid. I believe the management may need to provide additional training and guidance to ensure that administrators communicate with parents in a more professional and welcoming manner. Unfortunately, my recent experience made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected. I already informed my withdrawal on December 2025 through the whatsapp because i am overseas. I got no reply, but later they reply through little lives, and i couldn’t reply because of the system. Then today, i need to take the class photo that we paid already months before, got shocked with the first response I received when entering the school “she’s saying directly on her first welcome sentence that I had not paid the January school fee and that I needed to make the payment immediately. I found her response inappropriate, as my child had already been withdrawn. Moreover, I did not request the return of my one-month deposit, even though it was retained due to the lack of a one-month notice. Additionally, the administrator appeared unwilling to provide the photoclass materials before paying the January school fee (how come i should pay for this) This further added to my frustration. I respectfully suggest that the management monitor and guide how administrators communicate with parents to ensure interactions remain professional, respectful, and supportive. As a parent, I value mutual respect, and I was disappointed by this experience. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope this feedback will be taken constructively. Remember that you named yourself as the islamic preschool, you have to treat people in more islamic manner, tho.
No refund of deposit given after done exit interview at PG level. Bad experience. Teachers did not reply to my messages on Little Family Room. Bad quality teaching then also no 2 way transport provided with no reason given as well. No follow up after the exit interview. I need to enquire to them about my deposit but no refund till today. But I kept seeing their director posting in MET Groups about their childcare. I’ve also met the director once when my child was still in there, kept praising about the school instead. Reply to admin: You can’t find me in the system? My child was in Ilham from 2020 to Jan 2022.
The teachers in Ilham Childcare (East) are great and genuinely care for each child. The staff creates a nurturing and safe environment where kids feel loved and supported. It’s wonderful to see how much our children have grown and thrived thanks to their care - whether academically or emotionally. We’re grateful for all the hard work and dedication the teachers put in - teachers past and present.
Been 3 yrs(2023) i enroll my children at Ilham Childcare(Focus 1) , I was quite hesitant at first about Ilham , but we decided to give it a try since it’s near our area. Alhamdulillah, I’m really happy with the school , the teachers, the education, the meaningful events they organize and how they care for our children. That said, every year comes with a bit of sadness, as some of the best teachers leave. I truly feel it’s a loss because these teachers are such a big part of helping our children bond, grow, and feel secure. Their presence is a real bonus to the school. I hope this is something the team can reflect on and work to improve moving forward. A BIG thank you to Teacher Abby, Teacher Kaylor, Teacher Sarah, and Teacher Balqis , Laoshi, for staying on it means so much to us parents and your hardwork. And to Principal Farah, I wish you all the best. Even in just six months, you’ve shown such positivity not only to the children but also to us parents :’)
We're absolutely delighted with the all-inclusive program at this childcare centre. They welcome children from all backgrounds, and the curriculum, which includes Islamic subjects and a pre-madrasah entry program, is fantastic. A special shoutout to the supportive staff and to every single teacher.. and also to Teacher Sarah for her exceptional kindness and patience. She's always polite and loving, even in tough situations. She goes above and beyond to ensure our child's comfort, safety, and happiness. Teacher Sarah's dedication is the main reason we've chosen to stay here, despite considering another centre closer to home. The positive changes in our child's development under her care are truly remarkable.

Ilham Childcare lists its fees at the mid-range ($$) price tier. Specific monthly fee figures have not been published on this listing, so families should contact the centre directly for a current fee schedule. When enquiring, ask about the one-time registration fee, the deposit amount (typically equivalent to two months' fees), as well as any costs for uniforms, insurance, or enrichment programmes. Childcare fees in Singapore are GST-exempt, so the quoted monthly fee should represent your full outlay for the core programme. See the full childcare cost guide for Singapore →
Singapore citizen children enrolled at an ECDA-licensed childcare centre may be eligible for the Basic Subsidy — up to S$600 per month for infant care and up to S$300 per month for childcare — subject to household income criteria. Working mothers who clock at least 56 hours per month may additionally qualify for the Working Mother's Child Relief or working-related subsidies. For lower-income households, the Additional Subsidy can bring the combined subsidy amount up to S$710 per month. Kindergartens may also fall under the KiFAS framework. Permanent residents are eligible for partial subsidies at lower quantum. Subsidy amounts are reviewed periodically, so always check the ECDA website for the most current figures before budgeting. Note that ECDA licensing status for this centre should be confirmed directly, as no regulatory licence is listed on this profile.
Popular childcare centres in Singapore often fill places three to twelve months in advance, with infant care vacancies among the most competitive. The January intake period sees the highest demand, and families who leave enquiries too late frequently find no spaces available for their preferred start date. To secure a place at Ilham Childcare, it is advisable to reach out as early as possible — ideally several months before your intended start month — to ask about current availability. If a slot is available, the centre will typically require a registration fee and deposit to hold the place. Contact the centre via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form to check for vacancies and to get your child's name on any waiting list if spaces are full.
