When bringing your pet to a veterinary clinic for the first time, it helps to note your pet's size, breed, and temperament in advance, as these can affect handling and treatment approach. Bring along vaccination records, particularly proof of DHPP and rabies coverage for dogs or FVRCP for cats, so the veterinary team can assess your pet's immunisation status from the outset. If your pet has had prior health issues or is on ongoing medication, prepare a brief history to share during the consultation. You may wish to call ahead or use the contact form to confirm appointment availability, drop-off arrangements, and whether the clinic caters to your specific species or breed. For pets with anxiety around clinical environments, ask whether a trial or introductory visit can be arranged before any procedures are scheduled.

One of the few vets in SG that has a display board upfront for their fees lmao. Just thought of leaving a review so that others can be updated on the current fees (as of sep 2025) competitive prices for sterilisation! Receptionist lady is very sweet ☺️

Very straightforward and affordable clinic. Wont push you to do something that you wouldn’t want for your pet. Sent my furbaby for her spay. There was a morning rush but nurses attended to each of us attentively with a smile. Very clear explanation and calm. Not like other clinics with grumpy nurses. My baby was not in distress when i picked her up. And her wound area looks clean and good! Very much recommended!

Came for my cat’s sterilisation and micro-chipping. The nurse-reception was so friendly and helpful. The whole process was smooth and fast. Sent at 10am and came back at 5pm. My cat was all well and good. Thank you!

Please keep IMMEDIATE right when exit Balestier on PIE, cars exiting are driving so fast u can’t change lanes that had to miss the clinic! Cat spayed good healing no infection, best is they don’t force to snip ear, tattoo or chip after spay, no pressure! Was charged $130.80 after gst(female cat) then was told cat’s in heat then add on $83.95, still cheaper than anywhere in Singapore with decently spayed. Pictures showed cat just after spay stitched then another picture is Cat healed skin, given painkillers for 3 days. They even WS me to ask if cat is ok, either good after care svc or something happen but all OK so far so good

How much does "James Tan Veterinary Centre" charge?

Veterinary consultation fees in Singapore typically range from S$30 to S$80 for a standard visit, with specialist or emergency consultations running higher. Add-on charges may apply for vaccinations, blood panels, X-rays, or prescribed medications, and these can vary considerably depending on your pet's size, breed, and condition. James Tan Veterinary Centre is priced at the mid-range tier ($$), though specific fee schedules are not publicly listed — contact the clinic directly for a breakdown before your appointment. What vaccinations does "James Tan Veterinary Centre" require?

For dogs, core vaccinations typically include DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, parainfluenza) and rabies. For cats, the standard is FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, panleukopenia). Bordetella is often recommended for dogs that interact frequently with other animals, such as in boarding or daycare settings. Vaccination records are generally expected to be current within the past 12 months. When attending any veterinary clinic, bring your pet's vaccination booklet or documentary proof of recent immunisations so the team can review your pet's health history accurately. If your pet's vaccinations are overdue, the clinic can advise on a catch-up schedule during the consultation. Contact James Tan Veterinary Centre directly to confirm their specific documentation requirements before your visit.

Is "James Tan Veterinary Centre" licensed and insured?

James Tan Veterinary Centre is KakiList verified, meaning a real person has confirmed the clinic's operating details and contact channels. The clinic is not listed as ACRA registered in this directory, and no regulatory licences are recorded in the current listing. Prospective clients should confirm directly with the clinic whether the premises and practising veterinarians hold the relevant Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS) authorisations under the Animals and Birds Act. Regarding insurance, ask the clinic about their protocol if a pet is injured or becomes unwell during a procedure — reputable clinics will have clear policies on liability and will communicate these openly. Visit the facility, check the vaccination policy, and confirm insurance before drop-off.
