Brought my 13yr shihtzu to see Dr Joel for a growth on his face. The growth on Leo's face kept growing, it looked like an open wound & pus/ blood were oozing out. Dr Joel was very patient in examining Leo & explained on the option of oral & topical medication, while advising that surgery would be the next best solution. He prescribed meds for Leo & also arranged for a surgery on the following week, in case the meds did not work. He was understanding when I shared with him my concern over the surgery fees & Leo's old age. After much deliberation, I decided to proceed with the surgery after another 2 weeks when the growth grew bigger. The surgery was a success, the growth was totally removed & the stitches were almost invisible. I am very thankful to Dr Joel & team for such a good job done! Keep up the good work!

We brought our 1.5-year-old dog to Dr. Tham after she had been vomiting since the morning. We explained that there had been environmental changes the day before and that she had been physically overexerted during her walk, but he immediately dismissed both. He was extremely rude and dismissive throughout the consultation. He did not take her history into account and jumped to conclusions. No physical examination was done—no basic checks for dehydration or general condition. No medication or treatment was given. Overall, the consult was unhelpful and unprofessional. Paid $77 for zero help; I would not return.

Being new to Singapore, Jireh was my second emergency vet visit. First during the day. Even though they had just instituted an appointment only method, a nurse came out to the car to see the state of my dog and agreed to have the Vet look at him. They didn't charge me for showing up without an appointment. On my 2nd visit with an appointment, I loved how the vet took his time to explain to me what was wrong with my dog and alleviate my fears. All medication was explained to me and the nurses took the time to cross check some medication that had been prescribed. Professional courteous service at its best and affordable too.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does "Jireh Veterinary Clinic" charge?

Jireh Veterinary Clinic is priced in the moderate range ($$), but specific consultation fees are not publicly listed and will vary depending on the nature of the visit — routine check-up, vaccination, diagnostic workup, or treatment. As a general guide, standard veterinary consultations in Singapore typically range from S$30 to S$80, with additional charges for laboratory tests, medications, X-rays, or procedures. Surcharges may apply for after-hours visits or specialist referrals. It is worth confirming the full fee breakdown — including any GST — before proceeding with non-emergency procedures. Contact the clinic directly for a fee estimate relevant to your pet's needs. See the full Veterinary Clinics cost guide for Singapore →

What vaccinations does "Jireh Veterinary Clinic" require?

For dogs, core vaccinations typically include the DHPP combination (distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, parainfluenza) and rabies; bordetella is often recommended if your dog attends boarding or daycare facilities. For cats, the FVRCP vaccine (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, panleukopenia) is standard, with rabies also required in many settings. Most veterinary clinics and boarding facilities in Singapore require proof that vaccinations are current, usually within the past 12 months. Bring your pet's vaccination booklet or digital records to your first visit so the veterinarian can review immunisation status and advise on any boosters due. If your pet's vaccination history is incomplete or lapsed, the clinic can typically administer or schedule the necessary jabs during the consultation.

Is "Jireh Veterinary Clinic" licensed and insured?

Veterinary clinics in Singapore are regulated under the Animals and Birds Act, and practising veterinarians are required to be registered with the Singapore Veterinary Council (SVC). The clinic's AVS (Animal and Veterinary Service) compliance and individual veterinarian registration can be verified through the National Parks Board or SVC public register. No regulatory licences are listed in Jireh Veterinary Clinic's current KakiList profile. We recommend asking the clinic directly to confirm the registration status of their veterinarians and whether professional indemnity or clinic insurance is in place to cover any adverse events during treatment. Visit the facility, check the vaccination policy, and confirm insurance before drop-off.
