Families considering infant care at Kids Mansion Childcare should begin by enquiring about slot availability for their intended start month, as infant care places — particularly for children under 18 months — can fill well in advance. When you visit the centre, ask about the infant-to-caregiver ratio, the daily routine, feeding and nap schedules, and the settling-in period for new enrolees. It is also worth discussing ECDA subsidies, which are available to Singapore citizen children and can meaningfully reduce the monthly fee depending on household income and the working status of the mother.

Our experience with House on the Hill Mount Sophia has been truly wonderful. My daughter, Arya, started school here at just 18 months old, and over the past 1.5 years we have seen her absolutely blossom into a confident, sociable, and independent little girl, now close to 3 years old. This growth is very much thanks to the warm, nurturing environment and the dedicated teachers. We are especially grateful to Ms Hannah, who remained Arya’s teacher throughout her time there, providing consistent care, guidance, and encouragement, along with the rest of the caring teaching team. The preschool is very well run, with a safe, thoughtfully maintained compound and a rich variety of activities that keep the children engaged and excited to learn. From outings to nature reserves to sports day and art jamming sessions, the experiences offered are meaningful, fun, and developmentally enriching. We couldn’t have asked for a better start to Arya’s early learning journey, and we highly recommend House on the Hill Mount Sophia to any parents looking for a nurturing and well-rounded preschool environment.

We’ve been with House on the Hill Montessori Preschool (Mt Sophia) for many years. One child started around 18 months and graduated at K2, and another is still attending. Overall, it has been a positive and grounded experience. This is a genuine Montessori environment, not just Montessori in name. The teachers clearly observe children carefully and adjust expectations and pacing based on individual development, rather than forcing everyone through the same track. That personalised approach gave us confidence that our children were being supported appropriately at different stages. We also appreciated the use of multi-age classes, which are quite rare in Singapore but true to the spirit of Montessori. Younger children naturally learn from the older ones, while older children take on more responsibility and, over time, grow kinder and more mature. It created a calmer and more supportive classroom environment overall. Several teachers over the years stood out for their warmth, care, and consistency, and strong bonds were formed. Communication with parents was solid, with regular updates, meetings, and responsiveness when questions or concerns came up. At times, the level of parent involvement required for home projects felt a bit heavy, though some families may appreciate that engagement. One aspect we really appreciated was the food. Meals are prepared on-site by the aunties and are genuinely healthy. There’s a good variety, no salt used, and yet the food is somehow tasty enough even for picky eaters. Snacks are consistently healthy as well, often including items like edamame or a wide range of fresh fruits. The teachers also go out of their way to create engaging and memorable learning experiences. This includes dressing up and transforming the school for events like book week, as well as planning many excursions to interesting places, especially in nature. These outings are thoughtfully designed, with learning intentionally woven into the experience rather than treated as an add-on. As with most preschools, there was some teacher turnover over the years. While continuity could always be better, the overall programme quality and philosophy remained consistent. In terms of fees, House on the Hill sits somewhere in the middle of the range for private preschools. Not inexpensive, but also not positioned as a top-tier luxury option. Overall, we’ve had a good experience and would recommend it to parents looking for an authentic Montessori setting with caring teachers, healthy routines, and a balanced, holistic approach to early childhood education.

If possible I would rate 6 stars! House on the Hill has been a wonderful place for my child. The teachers truly care about the children and are very attentive to their emotional needs. Even though my child did not speak English at all in the beginning, it was never a problem. My child cried and took about two months to fully adapt, but throughout this period, the teachers, the principal, and even the founder were incredibly patient and supportive. They worked closely with us as parents, communicating openly and helping us adjust step by step. Thanks to their care, understanding, and dedication, my child gradually became comfortable and happy at school. In K2, my child can stay until 6 p.m. and didn’t even want to go home. We are truly grateful for this preschool and highly recommend it to other parents.

Our son attended HoTH – Mt. Sophia for four years, starting when he was just 18 months old. Under the guidance of the school and its dedicated teachers, he has blossomed into an independent, curious, and sociable child. The Montessori approach has given him a strong foundation for the next stage of his learning journey, while also instilling a love for exploration and discovery. The teachers are truly committed to nurturing each child’s development, and Ms. Marilyn, the principal, is always supportive and approachable. Their afternoon Mandarin program greatly benefited my son and sparked his passion for learning the language in the coming grades — an incredible outcome for a non-Mandarin-speaking family like ours. We are deeply grateful that our son was able to spend his formative years at HoTH, creating lifelong friendships and cherished memories.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does "Kids Mansion Childcare" charge per month?

Kids Mansion Childcare is priced in the mid-range tier for Singapore childcare, indicated by the $$ pricing display. Exact monthly fees were not published at the time of listing — contact the centre directly for the current fee schedule for infant care. Beyond the monthly fee, families should budget for a one-time registration fee, a deposit (typically equivalent to one to two months of fees), and miscellaneous costs such as uniform and personal accident insurance. Childcare fees are GST-exempt in Singapore, so the quoted monthly rate is the amount you pay. See the full childcare cost guide for Singapore →

What subsidies can I claim at "Kids Mansion Childcare"?

Singapore citizen children enrolled at ECDA-licensed childcare centres may be eligible for the Basic Subsidy — up to S$600 per month for infant care places. Working mothers who work at least 56 hours per month may additionally qualify for the Working Mother's Subsidy, which provides further fee relief on top of the Basic Subsidy. For lower-income households, the Additional Subsidy (means-tested) can bring the combined monthly subsidy up to S$710 or more depending on household income. Permanent Resident children receive partial subsidies at a lower quantum than citizens. Subsidy amounts are set by ECDA and are subject to change, so always verify current figures directly with ECDA or the centre's admin team before making financial plans. Note that subsidy eligibility is tied to the centre holding an ECDA licence — confirm this with Kids Mansion Childcare before enrolment.

Is there a waitlist at "Kids Mansion Childcare"?

Infant care places in Singapore are among the most sought-after in the childcare sector, and popular centres often fill slots six to twelve months before the intended start date. It is generally advisable to enquire at least three to six months ahead, particularly if you are targeting a January intake, which is the peak enrolment period. To secure a place, centres typically require payment of a registration fee and a deposit. Neither payment is always refundable, so read the terms carefully before committing. Contact Kids Mansion Childcare directly via phone or the enquiry form to ask about current vacancy and their specific reservation process for upcoming months.
