About King Georges Music Academy
King Georges Music Academy is a music school based at King George's Avenue in Singapore, with islandwide coverage. It holds KakiList verification, confirming that operating details and contact channels have been checked. The academy carries a Google rating of 4.8 out of 5, though this is based on 18 reviews — a small sample, so it should be treated as directional rather than definitive. Prospective students or parents should enquire about level and syllabus fit — whether the programme suits beginners, intermediate, or advanced learners, and which instruments or music disciplines are offered. It is worth asking whether lessons are available one-to-one or in small groups, and whether a trial class can be arranged before committing to a term. Clarify whether lessons are conducted in-person at the King George's Avenue location or whether any online option exists, and confirm the term structure, notice period, and any materials or examination fees that may apply.
To get started, reach out to King Georges Music Academy via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to ask about current availability, instrument or programme options, and whether a trial session can be scheduled before a term commitment is made. Chanel is a great vocal coach. I have been learning from her for a while now and I can feel myself improving, singing my favourite songs the way that it fits my voice best. Her patience and knowledge has helped me gain a better control over my voice while singing. There is also a whole lot more to perfecting a song than just singing better which includes understanding the different sounds in certain words, varying my intensity across segments, etc. All of these in just a few months! Excited to continue perfecting this craft and I am happy to have Chanel coach me along this journey of mine. Worth it!
My child has been with KGMA for over a year, learning under Teacher Chun Leng. In addition to drumming techniques, Teacher Chun Leng & Teacher Chanel also often offer valuable guidance beyond music, helping my child carry herself with confidence and professionalism. Over the past year, my child has shown significant improvement in her drumming skills and has gained much more confidence performing on stage. We are truly grateful to have such caring and dedicated teachers who allow her to be herself while generously sharing their real-life gig experiences.
I have been learning from their school for about 2 years now and I am already studying grade 6 in Vocals. Before that I knew nothing! Chanel is an amazing teacher and their staff are friendly, willing to chat while you are waiting for your lesson to begin.
My children absolutely loved their time learning music with Jun Kai! He taught my daughter piano and my son drums, and both of them looked forward to every single class. Jun Kai has a wonderful way of making lessons fun, engaging, and encouraging, while still helping the kids make great progress. His patience and positive energy really brought out their confidence, and they always came home excited to show us what they had learned. We are so grateful for his dedication and the joy he brought to their musical journey. Highly recommend Jun Kai to any parent looking for a teacher who can inspire a genuine love for music!
JunKai was fantastic! My 4-year-old attended his class and absolutely loved it. He was very patient and handled the occasional tantrum with great care, all while helping my child make steady progress in his learning journey.

Many music schools in Singapore offer a trial lesson, sometimes at a reduced rate or occasionally complimentary, to allow prospective students to assess fit before enrolling in a term. It is worth asking King Georges Music Academy directly whether a trial session is available and what the cost would be. During a trial, pay attention to how the teacher structures the lesson, whether the pace and teaching style suits the student's age and experience level, and whether the student leaves feeling engaged and encouraged. For younger children, observe how the teacher manages attention and motivation. For older or more advanced students, ask how the curriculum aligns with any graded examination pathway such as ABRSM or Trinity. If a trial is not formally offered, ask for a brief introductory meeting or a short observation before committing to a full term.
Credential information for the teaching staff at King Georges Music Academy is not publicly available in the listing data. When enquiring, it is reasonable to ask about each teacher's formal music qualifications — for example, a diploma or degree in music performance or music education — as well as their years of teaching experience and familiarity with the specific syllabus you are targeting. If your goal is graded examinations, ask whether the teacher has experience preparing students for ABRSM, Trinity, or other recognised boards, and what pass and distinction rates they typically achieve. For younger children, it is also worth asking about the teacher's experience working with beginners and their approach to keeping early learners motivated. Contact King Georges Music Academy directly to request this information before committing to a term.
