Families and individuals considering fencing lessons should enquire about the appropriate level and syllabus fit — whether beginner introductory, recreational development, or competitive stream — as well as the suitability of group classes versus one-to-one coaching. It is worth asking about the minimum age or prerequisite fitness requirements, the term-based commitment expected, and whether any introductory session is available to assess fit before committing to a longer package. As the club covers the islandwide area, prospective students should also clarify whether sessions are conducted solely at the Shenton Way location or at additional venues. Equipment provision or requirements, session frequency, and class size are all practical points to confirm at the time of enquiry.
To take the next step, reach out to Legends Fencing Club directly via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form on the listing to ask about current class schedules, available slots, and fee structures before attending a session.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
went for a mon, 5.30pm, trial class with my friend and we were the only ones. vicky was our instructor and she was so patient and detailed in answering all the questions that we had. since it was a trial class, we just learned the basics, lunging, and had a short spar at the end. before we knew it, it was already an hour. would definitely recommend the trial class for those interested in trying out a new sports/just looking for a fun activity to try out with your friends and partners!
We had an amazing time at the Valentine's Day couples' fencing event! Huge thanks to Nick, Thomas and Salah for being such patient and knowledgeable coaches. We went from learning the basics to sparring in just one session. The extra perks (roses, chocolates, and champagne) were a lovely surprise. A perfect mix of sport and celebration - would highly recommend giving their trial session a go if you’re on the “fence”!
First time here and very fun experience! Thomas was a very good coach.
I did the trial, coached by Vicky and it was fun, well-structured, and beginner-friendly. She explained the basics clearly, provided proper gear, and made sparring drills exciting yet safe. A great mix of workout and strategy, perfect intro to fencing!
Attended a sunday trial class. It was my first time fencing and Alvin was the coach. There was 6 of us, we started off with some intro videos, warmups, and played some games to familiarise ourselves with the different fencing motions. Got to suit up and try sparring at the end. Was fun and would recommend as an intro to fencing!

Legends Fencing Club does not publish a specific per-session rate on this listing. The S$$ price indicator suggests mid-range pricing relative to the Singapore enrichment and sport school market. Fees for sport enrichment classes in Singapore typically vary depending on whether you join a group class or opt for one-to-one coaching, with group sessions generally more affordable and individual coaching commanding a premium. It is also common for providers to offer monthly or term-based packages rather than a single pay-per-session rate, so the effective per-session cost may be lower when you commit to a block. Ask about any trial class fee, what materials or equipment are included or must be sourced separately, and whether sibling or multi-term discounts apply. Many sport enrichment schools in Singapore offer a trial or introductory session, sometimes at a reduced fee, to let prospective students experience the format, pace, and teaching style before signing up for a full term. For fencing specifically, a trial session is a practical way to gauge whether the physical demands, footwork drills, and coaching approach suit your child or yourself as an adult learner. During a trial, observe whether the coach adjusts instruction to the student's pace, how the class is structured between conditioning and technical work, and whether the group size allows for adequate individual attention. Contact Legends Fencing Club directly to confirm their trial class policy, availability, and any associated cost.
Coaching credentials for fencing in Singapore can include national-level competitive experience, Singapore Fencing Federation accreditation, or internationally recognised coaching certifications from bodies such as the Fédération Internationale d'Escrime. Relevant experience coaching youth or competitive athletes, and alignment with local school or national curriculum pathways, are also meaningful indicators of quality. This listing does not publish specific coach credentials or years of teaching experience. It is advisable to ask Legends Fencing Club directly about the qualifications and competitive or teaching background of the coaches who will be leading your sessions, particularly if you are enrolling a younger child or pursuing a competitive track.
