About Lorna Whiston
Lorna Whiston is a preschool and kindergarten provider operating islandwide across Singapore. The listing is KakiList-verified and ACRA-registered, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed by a real person and the business appears on Singapore's official company registry. The centre at Kallang Wave Mall (1 Stadium Place) carries a Google rating of 4.7 out of 5 across 26 reviews — a moderate sample that is a reasonable signal of parent satisfaction, though prospective families should weigh it accordingly. Fees are indicated at the mid-range ($$) price tier; specific monthly figures should be confirmed directly with the centre.
Families considering enrolment should enquire about available slots for their intended start month as early as possible, particularly for infant care places, which tend to fill quickly. During your initial contact, ask about the infant-to-caregiver ratio, the structure of the daily routine, and the length of the settling-in period so your child can transition comfortably. It is also worth discussing ECDA subsidy eligibility if your child is a Singapore citizen, as Basic and Working Mother's Subsidies can meaningfully reduce monthly fees for qualifying families.
To take the next step, reach out to Lorna Whiston via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form listed on this page to check slot availability for your preferred start month and to arrange a centre visit.
Visit the centre in person, meet the lead teacher, and read the parent contract before signing.

Just want to express a big big thank you to Lorna Whiston Ms Mala in Kallang Wave. Class teacher Jamie and Ms Wang also took care of my kid wholeheartedly and even discussed with me on how to ease her into the new school when she first joined. My kid loves her school so much and looks forward to going to school every day now. All the master classes and fun Friday activities are well planned to make all the kids enjoyable. There are sand play, water play, cookery, dramas class, etc. Food is great, environment is great and teachers are great also!
My daughter started preschool here at Lorna Whiston this year and she looks forward to going to school everyday. The curriculum is great with lots of fun activities for the kids. She’s most excited about the fun Friday activities and water play day! I also like that the school involves parents in some of the activities so we get to experience what our kids are up to in school. Thankful to the team, Ms Mala and her playgroup teachers Jish Laoshi and Ms Jane for taking such great care of her.
My child loves going to school and talks about her teachers and friends daily. Very thankful to these passionate, patient and loving teachers (Ms Sher Min and Laoshi) for making school such a fun environment for the children. Love the location, the facilities, and the well planned activities and celebrations at Lorna Whiston. Our child is currently on the half day programme but we are so excited to let her join the Masterclasses in the future!
The teachers are friendly and congenial. Pre-school's facilities are good. Great surroundings of Sports Hub. Easy access to public transports. Next to families friendly's mall. 👍
I've been sending my son to school since he was in N1, and it's hard to believe it's already been over four years. Ensuring that he feels comfortable and happy at school has always been my top priority, and this remains true every morning. Now in class K2 Harmony, he often tells me how much he loves his form teachers and enjoys playing with his friends. I've witnessed tremendous growth in him recently, and I truly attribute that to the school's well-rounded curriculum and the dedicated efforts of his teachers.

Monthly fees at Lorna Whiston are indicated at a mid-range ($$) price point, but the exact figure depends on the programme type (infant care, playgroup, or kindergarten), the child's age, and the number of days enrolled per week. Contact the centre directly for the current fee schedule. Beyond the monthly fee, families should also ask about a one-off registration fee, a deposit (typically equivalent to two months' fees, refundable on exit), and any costs for uniforms or personal accident insurance. Childcare fees at ECDA-licensed centres are GST-exempt, so no GST should be added to your monthly invoice. See the full childcare cost guide for Singapore →
Singapore citizen children enrolled at an ECDA-licensed centre may qualify for the Basic Subsidy — up to S$600 per month for infant care and up to S$300 per month for childcare. Working mothers who clock at least 56 hours per month may additionally claim the Working Mother's Child Care Subsidy on top of the Basic Subsidy. Families with a gross monthly household income below S$12,000 may also be eligible for the Additional Subsidy, which is income-tested and can bring the combined monthly subsidy to up to S$710 or more depending on circumstances. Kindergarten-level programmes may fall under the KiFAS (Kindergarten Fee Assistance Scheme) rather than the childcare subsidy framework. Permanent Resident children are eligible for partial subsidies only. Subsidy quantum and eligibility criteria are updated periodically, so confirm the current figures directly with ECDA at www.ecda.gov.sg before making enrolment decisions.
Popular preschool and kindergarten centres in Singapore frequently operate waitlists, and infant care places in particular can be fully booked three to twelve months in advance. January is the peak intake month for most programmes, so families targeting that start date should enquire well before mid-year of the preceding year. To secure a place once offered, centres typically require payment of the registration fee and a deposit. Even if no immediate vacancy is available, registering your interest early keeps you in queue. Contact Lorna Whiston directly via WhatsApp, phone, or the online form to ask about current availability and the process for joining the waitlist for your preferred programme.
