I am incredibly grateful for the care I received from Dr Ooi and the amazing nursing team over the past two months - Pearl, Alena, Thana, Yamuna, Nerina, Puspa and Wenxin. Dr Ooi has provided outstanding medical care and advice throughout my treatment journey. He is very prompt with patient updates, takes time to explain clearly, and always offers reassurance when it is most needed. His professionalism and confidence gave me 100% trust in his treatment plan, which made a very difficult period much easier to navigate. A very special thank you as well to the wonderful nurses. Each of them showed genuine care, patience and compassion every single visit. They helped me overcome my fear of needles with their gentle encouragement and skilled hands, especially during IV insertions. Because of them, I eventually felt confident enough to attend my chemo sessions alone, knowing I was in safe and capable hands. Their kindness, warmth and dedication truly make a difference in patients’ lives. I feel very blessed to have been under their care. Highly recommended to anyone seeking not just excellent medical treatment, but also a team that truly cares.
I am deeply grateful to Dr Terence for his patience, professionalism, and commitment to excellent care. I would also take this opportunity to thank you all ICS nurses for the tireless efforts and compassionate care. I feel very comfortable during my treatment.
I am grateful to all the ICS nurses and Dr Ooi for the care throughout my chemo journey. It was the worst 5 months of my life because of the cancer but ICS made it better... First thank you for Dr Ooi for being there throughout the journey esp when I had a fever for almost one month due to Taxol induced Pneumonitis, and for the timely intervention to send me for the necessary heart checks, CT scan, etc, to get to the root of the problem and changing me from Paclitaxel to Abraxane. He did not waste a single day to troubleshoot the problem. I also want to thank the nurses who attended to me. Special mention to Kartini who is very gentle and is incredibly skilled in putting in the IV plug and drawing my blood. Seriously if she poke you its as unpainful as it gets already. I also want to thank Alina and Pushpa for diluting my meds and administering them without hiccups too. I hear stories of chemo leaking into tissues but I never had such experience at ICS because the nurses are very experienced. Plus the part-time nurse (so sorry I forgot your name but remember your warm words) for always making sure I'm comfortable with blankets drinks and such. And Susie for the warm greeting every time I come in. Only issue I have is because they are sooo popular and due to covid measures only 4 patients allowed at one time (I think) so scheduling is a headache. The nurses (esp Alina) try their best to schedule everyone. :) And BTW you can watch Netflix and Viu in the clinic (if the TV is available that day) if you have your own account because they have smart TV. This is very important when you are in discomfort during chemo, any distraction helps. The air is very clean because they have air purifiers in every room. Here are some pics. Cheers.
It has been a blessing to be receiving my chemo & Her2 treatment at ICS. The nurses are some of the kindest professionals in this field that I have met. They are bubbly, (very) patient, compassionate and kind to me each time I'm there for my treatment. Not to mention also they're calm and very competent in their skills especially during my 1st treatment when I had an unexpected episode of reaction towards the chemo drugs, I was suffering a sudden shortness of breat and suffocation, and massive pain in my stomach.. but Pearl and Alena were so professional in the situation and utterly caring throughout the time, and managed to "revive" me and I completed the treatment without any problem after. Since then every treatment session has been smooth and pleasant. Puspa, Nerina, Wen Xin and Alice have also constantly attentive to me, with warm drinks and blankets etc. And never forget to mention Dr. Ooi WeiSeong, my oncologist, he is truly a doctor any patient would want to entrust their healing journey to. He is dedicated, and utmost professional in his skills, knowledge, and for someone who works in a cancer field that could bring about lots of stressful moments, he is always seen by his patients and nurses as a cheerful and uplifting person, with his contagious laughters all the time. I wouldn't have wanted to be elsewhere for my healing journey. Thank you ICS for such a compassionate service and your kindness towards all your patients has genuinely touched me and my family.
Dr Ooi and his team has been a great help and source of encouragement through out the journey of treatment for my sister. Their dedicated and professional service were very commendable and much appreciated. Thanks very much for the help extended whenever we are in need of help even though we are residing outside of Singapore
