About "MAD About Grooming"
MAD About Grooming is a pet grooming service based at 221 Balestier Road, Rocca Balestier, offering coverage islandwide across Singapore. The salon holds a 4.9-star rating on Google drawn from 171 reviews — a robust sample that points to consistent customer satisfaction — and has been verified by KakiList, confirming that operating details and contact channels have been checked by a real person. Pricing is positioned in the mid-range tier.
When reaching out to MAD About Grooming, it helps to have a few details ready: your pet's size, breed, and coat type, as these will influence the grooming package and any applicable surcharges. If your pet has a particularly anxious temperament or has reacted poorly to grooming in the past, mention this upfront so the team can plan accordingly. Bring along proof of current vaccinations — typically covering DHPP and rabies for dogs, or FVRCP for cats — as most reputable grooming salons require these before accepting a new pet. A trial visit can be useful for nervous animals, letting them acclimatise to the environment before a full groom. Once you are happy with the service, you can discuss setting up a recurring grooming schedule that suits your pet's coat type and your own routine, whether you prefer drop-off at the Balestier location or need islandwide mobile arrangements.
To get started, reach out to MAD About Grooming via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form — sharing your pet's breed, size, and vaccination status — to confirm availability and receive a quote for your preferred grooming package.
Visit the facility, check the vaccination policy, and confirm insurance before drop-off.
Thank you for accommodating my last min request just one day in advance! The before and after for my dog is so different! The groomer is nice and friendly! My boy is so soft and smooshy after the grooming ! Such a vast difference!
We’ve been bringing our Goldendoodle, Mishti, to MAD About Grooming! since we first got her almost a year ago, and we wouldn’t go anywhere else. Doodles can be tricky to groom, but HK is an absolute professional. We always request a short cut for Mishti, and she and her team execute it perfectly every time—she comes back looking neat and feeling much cooler in the heat. It’s rare to find a place where you feel 100% comfortable leaving your pup, but it's easy to trust them knowing the Chief Groomer has over 20 years of experience. That level of expertise really shows in how they handle Mishti with such care and skill. Highly recommend them to any fellow paw parents in Singapore.
5 mins away from my place via car! Tks for the recommendation by a friend whose dog has been with groomer since she was a pup. HK was most seasoned when it comes to grooming! With over 20years of experience, she made Mochi my cavapoo so obliging, comfortable and cozy with her. She did not even have to restrain him 90% of the time with no help from anyone but herself. Decisive and quick to snip, both my puppy and I felt so at ease with her. All I did was to watch and chatted with her while mochi enjoyed his pamper session! She is a dog whisperer ;) Will go back to her again! All done in 1.5hours! I am so pleased! So is Mochi boy with his trimmed fur!
HK is hands down the best groomer we could have asked for. Every visit starts with her greeting Ruby by name, talking to her, and making her feel safe and welcome. She even takes the time to introduce Ruby to the other doggos, which is such a thoughtful touch and really shows how much she cares about their social comfort. What we love most is the peace of mind she gives us – knowing that Ruby is treated with the same love and patience as if she were her own. It makes all the difference leaving your fur baby in someone else’s hands, and with HK, we always feel completely at ease.
HK is wonderful with dogs. Very patient. My golden retriever loved her grooming session. Thank you!

Grooming fees in Singapore typically vary by the pet's size, breed, and coat condition. Smaller dogs and short-haired cats generally attract a lower base rate, while larger breeds or those with long, dense coats may carry a surcharge. Common add-ons include de-shedding treatments, teeth brushing, nail trimming, and ear cleaning, each priced separately or bundled into a premium package. For mobile or islandwide grooming, a transport component may also be factored into the final price. It is worth confirming the full breakdown — including any add-ons you want — before the appointment to avoid surprises. See the full pet grooming cost guide for Singapore →
Most grooming salons in Singapore ask that dogs be current on their DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, parainfluenza) and rabies vaccinations, with records dated within the past 12 months. For cats, the standard requirement is the FVRCP combination vaccine. Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccination is commonly required at facilities that also offer boarding or daycare, though requirements vary by provider. You will typically need to present your pet's vaccination booklet or a vet-issued certificate at drop-off. If your pet's jabs are due for renewal, visit your veterinarian before booking to ensure you are not turned away on the day. Contact MAD About Grooming directly to confirm their specific vaccination policy before your first appointment.
In Singapore, grooming facilities that also provide boarding are required to hold a licence from the Animal and Veterinary Service (AVS) under the National Parks Board. For grooming-only operations, AVS licensing requirements differ, so it is worth asking the provider directly about their regulatory standing and any accreditations held. Regarding insurance, responsible grooming businesses carry cover that addresses incidents such as a pet sustaining a minor injury during the groom or falling unwell while in care. Ask MAD About Grooming to clarify their protocol if something unexpected occurs, and what steps they take to contact the owner. Visit the facility, check the vaccination policy, and confirm insurance before drop-off.
