About Ruff Cuts

When reaching out to Ruff Cuts via WhatsApp or phone, it is helpful to share your pet's size, breed, and coat type upfront, as these factors typically influence the session rate and duration. Bring along proof of current vaccinations at the first appointment, and mention any temperament quirks — such as anxiety around water or handling sensitivity — so the groomer can prepare accordingly. If you are considering a recurring grooming schedule, ask about preferred drop-off windows and how far ahead slots need to be reserved.
The most straightforward next step is to send a WhatsApp message to Ruff Cuts with your pet's breed, approximate weight, and the services you have in mind, then confirm availability and pricing before your first visit.
Visit the facility, check the vaccination policy, and confirm insurance before drop-off.
Thank you so much to the team at Ruff Cuts for grooming Jack Jack! He usually pulls and tugs away at other groomers but was very compliant at Ruff Cuts even though it was his first time there! The team was simply great at handling Singapore Specials and even managed to trim Jack's nails without a muzzle. Thank you again Ruff Cuts for being so gentle and patient with Jack Jack! He looked like he had a great time there!
Super amazed at how well they were able to handle our jap spitz. We were told by our previous groomer that he’s aggressive and hence have been very hesitant to bring him for grooming since. But it seems like our spitz really enjoyed his time at Ruffcuts, and we are so amazed that he’s willing to let the team cut his nails fuss free. Also really appreciate the frequent updates (pics and videos) from Ruffcuts team as it lets us feel more assured. I’ve never seen my spitz so happy while showering lol!! Will definitely be back again.
Very thankful that i came across Ruff Cuts for my SG special because they were able to handle my anxious dog when no one else could! Thank you Christine and team for your help. I've been coming back ever since and never had a bad experience whatsoever. The team provides updates and cute pics during the grooming process too!
Our SS had a great experience at Ruff Cuts - the team gave her time to decompress first and also shared updates throughout the grooming which we really appreciated. We were worried about how our SS would react as she isn't fond of nail trimming/ear cleaning but Ruff Cuts did it thoroughly with no issues at all!
Amazing handling skills, words can’t even serve justice!! We’ve tried several groomers islandwide for our little rascal and we’ve been told subtly by many “not to return”.. However Ruff Cuts handled our boy so well and even welcomed us for return visits 💕 We got to know of them through fellow shelter volunteers and decided to give them a go. Christine S (the groomer) was super patient and skilled. We were even prepared to go in and sit through the entire process to help cope with our dog’s anxiety but we were not needed despite it being the first visit! Kudos to the team, booked our next visit already! 🙏🏻

Grooming fees in Singapore typically vary by the pet's size, breed, and coat condition. Smaller dogs and cats generally attract lower base rates, while larger or double-coated breeds command a surcharge to account for additional time and product use. Common add-ons include de-shedding treatments, teeth brushing, nail grinding, and ear cleaning, each priced separately at most groomers. Ruff Cuts is listed at the mid-range price tier. Contact them directly via WhatsApp or phone to obtain a precise quote for your specific pet before booking. See the full Pet Grooming cost guide for Singapore →
Most professional grooming salons in Singapore require dogs to be current on their DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, parainfluenza) and rabies vaccinations. For cats, the FVRCP combination vaccine is the standard expectation. Vaccination records should generally be dated within the past 12 months to be considered valid. Bring your pet's vaccination booklet or a vet-issued certificate to your first appointment. If your pet's records are not up to date, arrange a visit to your vet before booking a grooming session, as most salons will decline unvaccinated animals as a precaution for all pets on the premises. Contact Ruff Cuts directly to confirm their specific vaccination requirements before your first drop-off.
In Singapore, grooming-only facilities are not subject to the same mandatory Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS) licensing that applies to boarding and pet hotel operators. That said, responsible grooming businesses typically carry some form of public liability or pet care insurance to cover incidents such as minor injuries, allergic reactions to grooming products, or accidents during handling. Ruff Cuts is KakiList verified and ACRA registered, and carries a 5-out-of-5 rating across 239 Google reviews. Before your first appointment, ask Ruff Cuts directly whether they hold insurance coverage and what their protocol is if a pet is injured or becomes unwell during a grooming session. Visit the facility, check the vaccination policy, and confirm insurance before drop-off.
