I used to frequent Mark-Cool for my car - air con needs ever since they were based in Wdls Industrial E9 and always attended by Uncle (Ah Huat). A very knowledgeable and competent tech, willing to share and gave honest advise. Ever since they moved, noticed the subtle changes. Now before start any work, the uncles will ask to go to the office and talk to the lady boss first. She will call which uncle to attend to the car. Recently, my car aircon was not working and I went to a nearby workshop and was advised that my compressor needed to be replaced. I decided to go back to Mark - Cool as I was familiar with Uncle Ah Huat's work and its near my house. However, the lady boss told another Uncle to check my air-con, quoted an exorbitant figure and said "compressor and a lot of other parts need to change". At least 3 times the price quoted by the workshop that I went before. Needless to say, I went to the workshop (in the East, which also had good reviews) and sad to say Mark-Cool has lost a recurring customer.

Went there two years ago for a $2000.00 Aircon coil replacement on my BMW. Was recommended by my usual trustworthy garage which I have recommended many of my friends to. So during that time I don't bother to check out what's the price and parts replaced. Before the CNY, the aircon start to lost its cooling power again. So I went back to them. But was quoted $2500 this time for the same issue. I am a bit puzzled witht the price quote and bargain for price to be same. I state my reasoning that it broke down in just 2 years time and my car is left with one year before it's 10year COE. The lady boss refused and give me the reasoning of inflation and GST hike etc. I close the bonntet of my car when she refused to give any discount. Up to this point, I have no ill comment about their quote or price as according to my trustworthy workshop, they are the expert on car air con issues. It was until I try my luck on another Aircon workshop, before I decide to write up this honest review. I was quoted $1950.00 for a OEM Aircon coil, with filter and a expansion valve change. The boss told me that the price will be reduce if there is no need change of air filter and the expansion valve. It was later that I found out from my current workshop that mark cool has actually installed a China origin cooling coil previously. He claims that I am very lucky to have my coil to last for 2 years plus. Usually it won't last beyond one years. He have taken some photos for comparison between the OEM and the China coil. I decided not to put up any photos in order to give the benefit of a doubt to others who have engaged on their service. As to the price of the parts, in my opinion,there is actually not a significant difference, most of the cost for repair is for the labour and time loss. So it is absolutely unfair to the consumers, by profiteering in this manner

I got the name recommended by a neighbor and the location was closed to my home. I saw the Google reviews weren’t bad, so I called their fixed-line number, politely asked if there was a vacancy for an aircon check today. A lady responded, “No, no.” I then asked which day would be available, but she had already hung up on me. It was my first time calling, and the conversation lasted only 7–8 seconds—the only response I got was a double “No” in one second... so rude, yet so funny:)

Aircon on and off with hot air. Asked to head down early to avoid waiting and uncle attend to me check refrigerant pressure and show me with a light device that power supply to compressor is ok. Started car the aircon compressor not moving... So have to change compressor. He heard that my car left 1 year to scrap so ask me to go for recon set with 1 month warranty and quoted 250 bucks. Else where quoted 350 and above. Till now around 2 weeks le, no problem so far. The aircon compressor replacement took around 1 hour. Other place informed will take 4 hours with same taking a few days.... If u have aircon problem can head down and let them see. They only do aircon related repair like filter, cooling coil and fan etc. Do check them out as I was intro by a fren there saying they are one of the best and indeed resolve my problem swiftly 😊
