About "Ministry of DJs"
Ministry of DJs is a music school operating islandwide from its premises at Claymore Plaza, off Orchard Road. It holds KakiList verification and is registered with ACRA. The school carries a Google rating of 4.9 out of 5 across 178 reviews — a robust sample that lends reasonable confidence to the rating. Pricing is indicated at the mid-range ($$) level, though specific session or monthly fees are not publicly listed and should be confirmed directly with the school.
Prospective students or parents can begin by enquiring about level and syllabus fit — whether that is beginner turntablism, music production, or more advanced DJ technique — and asking whether the school offers group sessions or one-to-one instruction. It is worth clarifying the term commitment expected, whether classes are held on-site at Claymore Plaza or have any online component, and what materials or equipment are provided versus required from the student. A trial class is a reasonable first step to gauge teaching style, pacing, and whether the content matches the student's goals and current ability.
To take the next step, reach out to Ministry of DJs via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form listed on their profile to ask about current availability, upcoming intake dates, and trial class options at their Claymore Plaza location.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.

I would confidently recommend Ministry of DJs to friends and to individuals interested in pursuing DJing.
Best DJ School in Singapore with professional instructors! I decided to upgrade my skills and attended their advance DJ and turntablism course and will definitely come back for more! ❤️
I signed up for the beginner course & continued on to the intermediate course with Effen at Ministry of DJ! I would like to say it has been one of the best decisions I made this year, the team is very responsive in replying messages & Effen himself was great as well. At the start, he really takes the time to understand what it is taht I was looking for in terms of DJ-ing & giving a lot of countless real world examples from his experiences too. He was able to answer a lot of my questions from things I've read online about DJ-ing & even from observations from other DJs playing in clubs/events. Mid-way through the intermediate course, I was able to even book my first gig (in the photos below) & I was able to utilise the class time to practice for my set using the same equipment I was going to use to play live as well. During this practice time, Effen was able to troubleshoot & provide me with valuable tips & tricks to take note when performing live which came in really handy when I played for the first time! I would highly recommend Ministry of DJ to anyone interested in DJ-ing & seeking a good starting platform to kickstart their interest!
First, I want to say that I am a DJ who often go to rent the DJ studio mainly for practise and filming. Honest review here. The studio: The place is well-equipped with the latest CDJs such as the 3000x as well as the 3000. So they have 4 CDJs in total on the decks. In addition, they always acquire the latest mixer. The speakers and subwoofers come with top-notched bass sounds. The wires are neatly arranged. There are different usb cables if you wanna record through rekordbox or serato. There is also a screen behind that displays background visuals in loops, suitable especially for anything from techno to psytrance, especially if you want to film your DJ set. Further, there is sort of a scaffolding that has a few clips for you to hookup your cameras, gopros at different angles while filming your DJ set. I found them super useful. The DJ studio has the right aircon temperature, as well as mirrors so you can see yourself while you DJ. There is also a sofa behind the decks so you can rest. Overall the room is clean, it comes with carpeted floors and curtains which makes it super comfortable and cozy, in addition there is also chair for you to place your stuff. The decor is artsy. Location: The studio is super conveniently located in Orchard area. Just a short walk from Orchard train station if you go by the underpass. The instructors: Everytime I go to the studio, I always see Kennerve. He is super helpful, approachable and friendly. Overall he is a great guy. Apart from teaching his students, he took time out to help me setup anything from lighting to cables whenever I need and whenever I rent the DJ studio. I would also want to add that he gives some super good life advices too and that he gave me some good tips to DJ techno. I really learnt lots from his depth of knowledge and experiences even though it was just few minutes watching him on the decks. It was truly inspiring. That is why I kept coming back. I would highly recommend coming to this place just to learn or rent. The people are great with positive vibes. Filled with energy and love for their clients. They really want their clients to succeed. Love this place! Yours sincerely, ARISS
These guys know their stuff well! Central location, well equipped studio, flexible timings and friendly environment. I took my beginners classes with Kennerve, he's knowledgeable yet friendly. Sessions were well structured and organised. Overall, happy with the experience. Highly recommended.

Ministry of DJs displays a mid-range ($$) price indicator, but specific per-session, monthly package, or term fees are not publicly listed and should be requested directly from the school. Typical music school pricing in Singapore ranges from S$40–S$120 per session depending on lesson format (group vs one-to-one), duration, and instructor experience. When enquiring, ask whether there is a trial class fee, whether materials or equipment are included, and whether sibling or package discounts apply. Some schools charge a registration or administrative fee on enrolment. See the full Music Schools cost guide for Singapore →
Many music schools in Singapore offer a trial class at a reduced fee or as part of the first-session rate, though this varies by provider. A trial is the most practical way to assess whether the teaching style, level, and content suit the student — particularly for a specialised discipline like DJing, where engagement and hands-on time with equipment matter considerably. When booking a trial, come prepared to discuss the student's experience level and musical goals. Observe how the instructor structures the session and whether the pacing feels appropriate. Contact Ministry of DJs directly to confirm their trial class policy and current availability.
Specific tutor qualifications and professional backgrounds are not detailed in the publicly available listing for Ministry of DJs. For a specialist music discipline such as DJing and music production, relevant credentials may include industry performance experience, recognised music or audio production qualifications, and years of teaching practice — rather than a formal NIE or MOE teaching background. It is advisable to ask the school directly about the experience and background of the instructor who would be teaching your sessions, their familiarity with the specific genre or equipment you wish to learn, and how long they have been teaching at the school.
