When engaging a veterinary clinic, it helps to have your pet's details ready before your first visit: breed, age, weight, and known health history. Bring along vaccination records, as these are typically required before any boarding or grooming services and are relevant context for clinical consultations. If your pet has a nervous or reactive temperament, mention this when booking so the team can prepare accordingly. For ongoing care, ask about recurring wellness packages, preventive health schedules, and whether the clinic supports drop-off appointments for routine procedures.
To get started, call or submit an enquiry form through the contact channels listed on this page, describe your pet's needs, and confirm appointment availability, fees, and any documentation required before your visit.
Visit the facility, check the vaccination policy, and confirm insurance before drop-off.
Our Sharpei recently started seeing Dr Hazel from Mount Pleasant Farrer for his routine check ups. We have had positive experiences with Dr Hazel and also the staff in general. I like the big open space in front of the clinic and also quite spacious inside too while waiting esp when you have a big dog. Their Whatsapp line is very responsive and it's probably my favourite part of the experience, instead of having to call and email each time. With Dr Hazel, we detected abnormalities which she helped us plan a diagnosis route that was thorough and explained it in depth. She is a very caring and diligent doctor that wants to do right by the animal and owner. Due to her diagnosis plan - we have found out what's causing the issues and my dog is going for surgery at VES next week to sort it out. Thank you Dr Hazel!
Our experience with dr Lucienne has been amazing. We took our little Tipsy there to amputate his tail since it wasn’t healing well. The first vet we went asked us to go to the hospital where they said the bill will cost $6k 🫣 Then we went to see dr Lucienne and she did it perfectly with fraction of the cost ($1k). She did a really good job and Tipsy’s wound was healing well. We came back to take off the stitches and they didn’t even charged 🙏🏾 Thank you dr Lucienne for taking care of our baby ❤️
I am writing this review to highlight an issue I encountered at this clinic. During my visit, the clinic prescribed dog deworming medication for my cats. Because I trusted that what I received was correct or can be administered to cats as well, I administered it to my cat. Thankfully, my cat was unharmed, but the situation could have been dangerous. This type of mistake is unacceptable and reflects a concerning lack of attention to detail. Pet owners rely on veterinary professionals to provide accurate prescriptions—especially when species specific medications are involved. A mix-up like this should never occur. I strongly urge pet owners to carefully check every medication before giving it to their pets. I also hope the clinic will take responsibility and implement stricter checking procedures to prevent such errors from happening again. Although they did apologise for this mistake, it should not have happened.
I had a bad vet experience, brought my dog for neutering and a month later, noticed that there was suture material sticking out of the womb, looked like it wasnt removed properly in the first place. Brought my dog for an appt to remove the material that was sticking out and they didnt mention what was the cause and also wanted me to purchase antiseptic solution and cream. I felt that in this case, the clinic should have provided them to me instead of asking me to purchase, what do you think?
My vet experience was really disappointing. I took my dog to the clinic yesterday, and the doctor told me to come back again today, so I had to take leave two days in a row, my boss wasn’t happy, and I’m already tight on budget after spending $500 yesterday. I went back because I was worried my dog’s reaction might have been caused by the medication the doctor prescribed. The doctor told me not to worry and said she’d try to help with the consultation fee, but in the end, they only gave me $5 off, not even enough to cover my taxi fares. She then said my dog was fine and not as bad as she initially thought. It’s really frustrating and I feel cheated, like they were just trying to make more money. If you can, I’d recommend going to another vet clinic instead.

Mount Pleasant Veterinary Centre (Queens Rd) displays a mid-range ($$) pricing tier, but specific consultation fees are not publicly listed and will vary depending on the nature of the visit. A standard consultation typically covers the clinical examination; additional costs arise from diagnostics (blood panels, X-rays, urinalysis), medications, vaccinations, and any procedures carried out on the day. For specialist or emergency visits, fees can be considerably higher than a routine check-up. It is worth asking the clinic for an itemised estimate before authorising any diagnostics or treatment, particularly for complex cases. Grooming or boarding add-ons, if offered, will carry separate pricing based on pet size, breed, and coat type. See the full Veterinary Clinics cost guide for Singapore →
For dogs, core vaccinations typically include the DHPP combination (distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, parainfluenza) and rabies, with bordetella (kennel cough) often required for boarding or daycare services. For cats, the FVRCP combination (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, panleukopenia) is standard, along with rabies where applicable. Most clinics and boarding facilities in Singapore require proof that vaccinations are current — generally within the past 12 months — before accepting a pet for any non-emergency service. Bring your pet's vaccination booklet or digital records to every appointment. If your pet is overdue for any vaccination, Mount Pleasant Veterinary Centre (Queens Rd) can advise on a catch-up schedule during the consultation. Confirm their specific requirements when booking.
Veterinary practices in Singapore operate under the Animal and Veterinary Service (AVS), which is the national authority responsible for licensing veterinary clinics and practitioners. Licensed veterinary surgeons must be registered with the Singapore Veterinary Council (SVC). No AVS or SVC licence is listed in the current provider data, so you should confirm the clinic's registration directly with AVS or SVC before your visit. Regarding insurance, ask the clinic about their protocol if a pet is injured or experiences an adverse event during a procedure or stay. Reputable clinics carry professional indemnity and public liability coverage, but the extent of cover varies. Visit the facility, check the vaccination policy, and confirm insurance before drop-off.
