About Movement Studio

About "Movement Studio"

Movement Studio is a dance school listed on KakiList under Education, operating islandwide from its centre at 101 Cantonment Road, Singapore 089774. It is KakiList-verified, meaning a real person has confirmed its operating details and contact information. The studio holds a perfect 5-out-of-5 rating on Google across 20 reviews — a small sample, so treat this as directional rather than conclusive.

Families considering Movement Studio should start by enquiring about level and syllabus fit — whether the programme suits a beginner, intermediate, or more advanced dancer, and which dance styles or examinations are on offer. It is worth asking whether classes are structured as group sessions or one-to-one instruction, and whether enrolment is on a per-term or monthly basis. Clarifying whether the location at Cantonment Road is convenient, or whether any online options are available, will help narrow down suitability before committing. Prospective students are typically welcome to attend a trial class to assess teaching style, class size, and how well the pace suits the learner.

To take the next step, reach out to Movement Studio directly via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form listed on this page to ask about current availability, upcoming term dates, and trial class options.

Hello this is Andrea, I am from that movement studio and I loveeee the place. This place deserves 5 stars. I loved the teachers and the amount of nice people inside. If you want to join the studio, this is probably prefect for you. If you are wondering why my profile name is a different name is because that's my Aunty's name.

Had a K-pop dance class with Grace Yew at Movement Studio, and it turned out to be a super personalised 1:1 session! The class was at 12:15 PM on a Monday, which was just perfect for getting some one-on-one attention. Just a heads up – finding the place is a bit of a hassle, so definitely plan to get there early. I was late and trust me, you don't want to miss any minute of this session. Now, about Grace – she's amazing. She's super patient and just has this way of explaining things that makes everything click, especially when trying to get in sync with K-pop beats or perfecting a dance move. She's quick to spot where you're struggling, like with timing or a specific step, and then it's all about practicing that bit until you nail it. Sometimes, all I needed was to tune in more to the beat. The best part? The class being just for me meant Grace could really tailor everything to what I needed most. It felt more like a fun, intense dance hangout than a regular class. Actually, it felt like dancing it out with a friend who really knows her stuff. If you're into K-pop and want a class that really caters to you, definitely check out Grace's session at Movement Studio on a Monday. Just remember, give yourself that extra time to find the place so you're all set to dance right on time!

My favourite studio to go for barre! The classes are fun, dynamic and challenging, and the atmosphere is always very fun and warm. The instructors are very encouraging and they also welcome feedback and suggestions on improving the classes and experience for students. It's a safe and comfortable environment for first-timers who want to try barre or ballet/contemp dance. Location is central so it's perfect too!

I’ve enjoyed every minute of my classes at The Movement Studio! The instructors are lively and engaging, and the classes are welcoming to people of all shapes and sizes. Modifications are always given and we’re always encouraged to listen to our body. At the same time, we’re always gently being encouraged to push past our comfort zone. I always leave class feeling happy and rejuvenated.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does "Movement Studio" charge per session?

Pricing at Movement Studio has not been published on this listing, so it is best to contact the studio directly for current rates. As a general guide, dance classes in Singapore typically range from S$30 to S$80 per session depending on the style, level, class size, and instructor experience. Monthly packages or per-term enrolment often work out more cost-effective than booking individual sessions. Ask about a trial class fee, whether materials or exam fees are charged separately, and whether sibling or multi-class discounts apply. Some studios include costume or recital costs within term fees; others bill these separately. See the full Dance Schools cost guide for Singapore →

Can I try a class before committing?

Many dance schools in Singapore offer a trial class — sometimes at a reduced fee or as part of the first session — so it is worth asking Movement Studio whether this is available. A trial class is a useful way to assess whether the teaching style suits the student, whether the pace and level are appropriate, and whether the studio environment feels right. When attending a trial, pay attention to how the instructor engages with students, how corrections are given, and whether the class size allows for individual attention. For younger children, note how the instructor manages the group and whether the child appears engaged and comfortable. If a formal trial is not offered, ask whether you can observe a class before enrolling.

What are the instructors' credentials at "Movement Studio"?

Credential details for Movement Studio's instructors are not listed publicly. When enquiring, it is reasonable to ask about each instructor's dance training background, any performing or teaching qualifications held (such as RAD, ISTD, or CSTD certifications for classical dance styles), and how long they have been teaching. For studios preparing students for graded examinations, ask which examining board is used and whether the instructor is an accredited teacher under that board. Experience with the relevant age group and level matters as much as formal qualifications. If this information is not readily available on the studio's website or social media, ask directly before committing to a term.
