Terrible and harrowing experience with Nanyang Carpentry - PLEASE RECONSIDER IF YOU’RE THINKING ABOUT ENGAGING THIS COMPANY. Carpentry was incomplete and poor in quality. After the ID informed them that they did not build carpentry as per design, Nanyang decided to stop work (after a 3-week delay), leaving behind their trash and unfinished carpentry like toilet vanity cupboards without doors and kitchen cabinets with missing shelves. They left everything behind without resolving the defects like misaligned drill holes, cracked laminates and slanted drawer tracks. Everything was left in a mess. I had to call Nanyang myself and Clement promised his workers will return to site to complete the missing items that they had built. However, they were a no-show and went MIA for weeks. After calling many times, they responded by asking for more $$$ to complete the above works. As the work was incomplete, we had to engage another company at short notice. Worst of all, my family had no choice but to move in with unfinished carpentry due to the delays and false promises by Nanyang Carpentry. We plan to pursue legal action against Nanyang in hopes of getting compensation for incomplete carpentry and poor workmanship.

I had a tight timeline to move into my bto. Sourced for carpentry and electrician way 6 months before I got my keys. Chanced upon Nanyang Carpentry and liaised with Chen Yï. He was patient and accommodating while changing the quotes as per changes in my reno plan (intermittently for ard 6 months). And this was before I confirmed and made payment to engage Nanyang. When I got my keys, told him that I had to move in within 6 weeks. He coordinated both carpentry and electrical works including aircon. He was also respectful to my design ideas and I got exactly what I wanted, how I want my place to look like. I was updated regularly through the course of the reno. All was completed earlier than the expected dateline. Thank you very much Chen yI!

Contracted with Nanyang for the Kitchen. Project delivered on time in May despite COVID backlog situation. Very satisfied with the overall experience and workmanship quality. Thank you Max and the team for the prompt response and amazing carpentry work. Will recommend Nanyang to anyone looking for reliable and professional carpenter.

Poor communication - Nanyang Carpentry did not respond to calls and texts. Built carpentry was filled with defects like holes, cracked laminate and missing screws. Multiple delays severely affected other parts of my renovation - in a nutshell, a total nightmare.

We engaged them for full house reno in august but job was a delay and they claimed “I will never give any of my client an exact completion date, 3 months is only a plus minus duration.” Ruined my new tile with a hole and only used some glue to cover it up. Laminate popping out in less than a month. Requested for a stopper for my glass door but they simply don’t bother to reply and conveniently claimed “I missed out your message, not that I don’t bother to reply”, 3 weeks later, my glass door swung outwards and broke. Yet they deny any responsibility. Claiming that even if there’s stopper, it’s only gonna be affecting the opening and closing. Irresponsible, lousy quality of work. Still pending 5% payment, yet I’m having this kind of service. I dare not think what would happen after payment fully made. Have moved in 2 months. Yet there’s still lousy works not rectified. This shows what kind and quality of job and service they will provide.
