I had a very positive experience at Novena Surgery Centre on 9 Jan 2026. Although it was just an ankle surgery, the staff and nurses were exceptionally friendly and kind, taking the time to ensure I understood every aspect of the surgery, including the administrative process. This made the entire experience much less stressful and very reassuring. A special mention to Jeannie (I hope I got her name right), who was incredibly attentive and caring—especially when I was shivering from the cold after regaining consciousness. Her thoughtfulness truly stood out and made a big difference in my recovery experience. Thank you to the entire team for the excellent care and support!

The 5-stars are specifically for the nurses who took care of me after the surgery. Latha and Malathi. This review is for them. Empathic and Gentle: They were super kind and gentle in helping me into the compression garment. These are not easy to put on as they are super tight, but they did their best not to cause pain or to disturb the surgical wounds. Exemplary virtues of nurses. Patience: Not only that, they were patient. After struggling to put the first piece of the garment on, they realize the garment was designed with the labels/tabs on the outside. They did not hesitate to remove it and restart the arduous process of putting it on again (note: there were still more pieces of garment to put on). No hesitation, no frustration. Service Excellence: Throughout the entire process they were joking and laughing with me to take my mind off the discomfort of having undergone surgery. They also prepared a hot drink and food for me, and showed concern by encouraging me to eat a bit. Other notable aspects of Novena Surgery: - Very clean and hygienic - Well organized SOPs, intake questions, changing facilities, etc. Room for improvement: - Front desk service was adequate.

Went for a cataract eye surgery. Admission was smooth with Angela being very helpful and knowledgeable about insurance claims. Nurse Kim was friendly, attentive, and kind. The removal of the IV catheter was professionally done, meaning painless and without any bruise the next day. The 'Suite' room(as shown) at $610 for two hours is kind of high and so I opted for a tiny 'cubical' recovery space at $88 instead. It was still good enough esp with Nurse Kim around. The croissant and black coffee served were very nice, except that it would be better if the bake comes with butter instead of Buttercup brand's misleading 'butter' which I rather they don't serve it at all instead of such as some patients like me avoid margarine. Overall, very positive experience. Thanks Angela and Kim!

Been here a total of 3 times for our family’s surgeries. Facilities are top notch, service is excellent. Front desk especially Ms Angela, is very professional, friendly and helpful. Changing room, locker room, waiting room, staff service all are excellent.

I was disappointed with my experience at the reception area during my visit on 1 December 2025. Upon arrival at 7 a.m., I simply asked the receptionist whether any forms needed to be completed, as all other patients were being called out. Her response was unprofessional in both tone and attitude, and she questioned why we were asking. We were told to sit and wait without further guidance. This manner of communication is concerning, especially for patients preparing for surgery, where professionalism and reassurance are essential. I understand there were WIFI issues that morning, but this does not excuse inappropriate conduct. I want to highlight that this contrasts sharply with my previous visit on 29 November, where the receptionist on duty was courteous and efficient. Additionally, the nurse, Grace, was exceptional—attentive, clear in her explanations, and consistently checking on patient well-being. Because I experienced two completely different standards of service, I hope this feedback can help the receptionist on duty on 1 December (who open the shift) improve her communication and professionalism. The role requires patience, empathy, and calm, particularly in a healthcare setting. Thank you
