Today marks exactly one year since I was diagnosed with cancer 💔. Other during biopsy, I didn’t shed a single tear throughout my entire treatment journey. Today, the tears finally came 😢. It’s a date I wish I could forget, yet life do not work that way. How did I survive one year of treatment? Besides my mom 👩‍👧 and my ballet fam 🩰, I realised my biggest pillar of strength was — and still is — my oncologist 👩‍⚕️. I am truly grateful that I chose to begin this journey with OncoCare ❤️. From the very first consultation, Dr Angela gave me confidence that I could be treated, that I could recover, that there would still be a life 🌱waiting for me once the cancer is gone. Words honestly can’t express how much Dr Angela and the whole OncoCare team did for me. I was never just a statistic. From being terrified of always being poke 💉, to vomiting 7 times an hour 🤮, to every hospital stay 🏥, to not being able to eat, to sleep, to losing my hair 💇‍♀️, radiotherapy ☢️, and now returning to work — Dr Angela has been there through it all. She listened to every fear, every worry, every random joke, every quiet moment. She noticed when something was off. When I was scared my hair wouldn’t grow, or that it wouldn’t grow fast enough, or that I didn’t have the courage to return to work with ultra-short hair — she assured me, encouraged me, and gave me strength 🌟. She was always just a phone call away during medical emergencies 📞. Looking back, I think I never cried during treatment because I didn’t have to. I was held emotionally and mentally the entire way. Dr Angela didn’t just treat my cancer — she carried me through the darkest year of my life 🌈.

I took some time to read all the reviews posted here. Totally agree with the compliments for Dr Kevin Tay Kuang Wei, an oncologist par excellence! I am sharing more bouquets hereon. I was referred to Dr Kevin Tay by an orthopaedic surgeon. First, it spoke well of how much Dr Kevin Tay is respected and regarded by fellow medical practitioners as the oncologist of choice. Second, something is so right in OncoCare Mt Alvernia from Human Resources to Medical Processes and the intentional peaceful ambience which support the very challenging mental states of oncology patients. The positive ethos starts from the medical practitioners and throughout all staff. 100% engaged staff who exude attuned care and support at all times, on site and online. I wish to give a special bouquet to Mabeline, the staff who helmed front and back on site, very responsive online to address all concerns. No question was too many or difficult for Mabeline. She ensured the patient was at ease before leaving the clinic and was all settled with clarity before the next appointment. Amazing gifts of a strong character to be so customer-centred with patients challenged with immense oncology needs. Dr Kevin Tay, while caring for so many patients, I hope he can grant time to model and mentor medical practitioners, the epitome of a physician par excellence, one with the rare balance of exceptional competence and compassion. I literally left his consultation with half my battle already won. Compliments flooded this google review already bore testimony to DR KEVIN TAY as a NATIONAL GEM in the MEDICAL FIELD. In the mist of heavy workloads, Jenn demonstrated her steady hands in assisting me to reschedule appointment, laboratory tests and reaching out to Dr Tan in ensuing our needs were well taken care off. Jenn is a valuable staff to the clinic. Keep up the good work. Also my sincere thanks to the male staff who works in the clinic pharmacy. He guided and explained to us the return policy once medication is collected. it has been a pleasant experience visiting the Mount Alvernia clinic.
