When booking a grooming appointment, it helps to have your pet's size, breed, and coat type ready, as these affect the session scope and duration. Bring up any temperament considerations — such as anxiety around water or handling — so the groomer can plan accordingly. Vaccination records are typically required before a first appointment, and it is worth confirming which documents to bring when you reach out. You can contact Paws N' Claws Veterinary Surgery via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form to discuss drop-off arrangements and set up a recurring grooming schedule if needed.
To get started, send a WhatsApp message or call the team at Sin Ming Road with your pet's breed, weight, and coat condition, ask about current availability, and confirm the vaccination requirements before your first visit.
Visit the facility, check the vaccination policy, and confirm insurance before drop-off.
Brought 2 of my poms in and admitted one of them for a day observation. The entire process felt assuring and Dr Ng was really thorough when it came to my dog’s check. It was our 5th Vet visit for the week and we finally found someone that could address Yimi’s condition and made her feel more comfortable with her situation. Our usual vet was not around so we chanced upon Paws and Claws. We are definitely lucky to have met a team that is responsive and a doctor who was quick to point out issues and started treatment to get yimi’s poop out to ease her bad bloated tummy. It is not easy to find a good vet and a great team altogether and I am thankful to have found a place nearer to my home too! Thank you to all of you who took great care of Yimi during her day observation!
Dr. Esther and her team have been amazing and empathetic — her prompt calls and clear next steps made us feel reassured during a very stressful time. a big shout out to Hannah, Pei Ying, Sher How & Vincent who coordinated closely in rotating shifts to monitor Cloudie and kept us updated when we couldn’t be there. and to the rest of the team behind the scenes who answered all our questions with patience and expertise. i simply can’t thank them enough. We truly appreciate the dedication and professionalism of the entire team❤️
Dr Esther Lam is always very patience and details into explaining the condition of the pet during our every visiting in the clinic. The staffs are always very friendly and welcoming. Thank you Paws N Claws Teams 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Made & confirmed an appointment at Sin Ming branch for a dental scaling a month out, but the reminder the day before re-directed us to their Yishun outlet instead - we misread the reminder and ended up wasting a trip down to the Sin Ming branch. They reschedule us fairly soon - so no harm, just be mindful when reading their reminders. On the day itself, Dr Denise was very patient and detailed. It's obvious she loves the pets. We are very appreciative. It didn't feel rushed even though there was a line outside. Kobe's procedure was delayed due to other emergency surgeries, and the team kept us updated as best they could. The prices are reasonable, and Dr Denise was upfront with it. They are popular, so have to be patient where possible. The team who explained the medications and how to continue aftercare for Kobe was also patient. The team in general responds fairly quickly from enquiries over WhatsApp as well.
I can feel the genuine care and concern for all pets here. The nurses, especially Pei Ying kept a close follow up even days after my pet rat, who underwent a small surgery, went home. I’m very grateful for the love shown to a small rat during his stay there and suspect he misses the team there!

Grooming fees in Singapore typically vary by pet size, breed, and coat type. Small dogs and cats generally start from around S$40–S$70 per session, medium breeds from S$70–S$110, and larger or double-coated breeds from S$110 upwards. Paws N' Claws Veterinary Surgery uses a moderate pricing tier, though exact figures are not published publicly and should be confirmed directly. Common add-ons to ask about include de-shedding treatments, teeth brushing, nail grinding, and ear cleaning — each of these may carry a separate charge on top of the base grooming fee. As the service covers islandwide, also clarify whether mobile or transport options are available and whether any surcharge applies. See the full Pet Grooming cost guide for Singapore →
For dogs, most grooming and veterinary facilities in Singapore require proof of DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, parainfluenza) vaccination, and many also ask for bordetella (kennel cough) coverage, particularly if the pet will be in close contact with other animals. Rabies vaccination may also be required depending on the service. For cats, FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia) is the standard requirement. Vaccination records are typically expected to be current — usually within the past 12 months — and proof will normally be requested at drop-off. If your pet's vaccinations are not up to date, factor in a vet visit before booking the grooming appointment. Contact Paws N' Claws Veterinary Surgery directly to confirm their specific vaccination policy before your first visit, as requirements can vary by provider.
Paws N' Claws Veterinary Surgery is ACRA-registered and KakiList-verified, confirming it operates as a legitimate registered business in Singapore. Grooming and boarding facilities in Singapore may be subject to licensing under the Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS), a cluster of the National Parks Board. No specific AVS licence is listed in the current provider data, so it is advisable to ask the team directly whether the facility holds AVS accreditation and what insurance arrangements are in place. In the event that a pet is injured, unwell, or distressed during a grooming session, ask the provider in advance about their protocol — including whether they have a vet on-site or on-call, and whether the business carries liability coverage for such incidents. Visit the facility, check the vaccination policy, and confirm insurance before drop-off.
