Parents or students looking to enrol should begin by enquiring about level and syllabus fit — whether lessons are aligned to ABRSM, Trinity, or a more casual recreational programme. It is worth asking whether tuition is offered on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, and whether a trial class is available before committing to a full term. The studio is accessible at Goldhill Plaza in the Novena area, and prospective students should confirm whether online lessons are offered for those who cannot attend in person.
To take the next step, reach out to Prelude Music Studio by phone or via the enquiry form listed on their profile to ask about current availability, instrument offerings, and term fees before booking a trial class.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
Ms Rosie Chua is a very dedicated principal and teacher. She knows all the students in the centre very well. She customises her teaching to the student's needs. She makes learning piano easy, fun and highly addictive for my daughter. Teacher Huiyan and Amelia were passionate and encouraging teachers whom I am grateful to as well. Ms Rosie ensures that her teachers know how to engage and motivate the child too. The admin staff, Jing Jing often goes the extra mile to render assistance to students and parents. Indeed a top choice music school.
Prelude Music Studio is run by an amazing couple. They value love and passion for music above all else, and have a special teaching method developed by the boss Rosy. She is very personable and you can tell she cares so much for her students!
This studio is run by love— love of music, and love of students, and touching their lives. A rare positive impact on the community, it’s mantra is shaped by its founder, who is as talented as she is generous. Her compositions add a unique dimension to her role as educator.
It a nice and good place to learn music and jam with friends
Great Music School! Need not go grade by grade for progression and trains well for skills, performances and DSA.

Prelude Music Studio displays a mid-range pricing tier ($$), though specific per-session or monthly package rates are not published on their listing. Music schools in Singapore typically charge S$40–80 per session for group classes and S$60–150 per session for one-to-one lessons, depending on the instrument, the teacher's experience, and lesson duration. Some studios bundle fees into monthly retainers or termly packages, which can work out more cost-effectively than pay-per-session rates. It is worth asking about registration or enrolment fees, any examination or material costs (such as grade exam entry fees and books), and whether sibling discounts or package deals are available. Confirm whether a trial class is charged at the standard rate or offered at a reduced fee. See the full Music Schools cost guide for Singapore →
Many music schools in Singapore offer a trial class, sometimes at a reduced rate, so prospective students can assess whether the teacher's style, the lesson format, and the pace suit them before signing up for a full term. It is advisable to ask Prelude Music Studio directly whether a trial is available and what it costs. During the trial, pay attention to how the teacher explains concepts, whether the student is engaged throughout, and whether the lesson level feels appropriately matched to current ability. A good trial class should give a clear sense of how structured future lessons will be and what progress milestones to expect. If a formal trial is not offered, ask whether you can observe part of a class or arrange a short introductory meeting with the instructor before committing to a term.
Specific tutor credentials are not listed in the available information for Prelude Music Studio. When enquiring, it is reasonable to ask about each teacher's formal qualifications — such as a diploma or degree in music, ABRSM or Trinity teaching certification, and the number of years they have been teaching — as well as whether they have experience preparing students for formal grade examinations. For parents whose children are working towards ABRSM or Trinity grades, it is also worth confirming that the teacher is familiar with the current syllabus requirements for the relevant examination board. If lessons are for a younger child, ask about experience teaching beginners or young learners specifically. Contact Prelude Music Studio directly by phone or enquiry form to request this information before committing to lessons.
