When I first met Dr. David Tan, I had just been through two major surgeries in the span of two weeks. My body and mind were deeply traumatized, and I was extremely anxious about the upcoming adjuvant treatment. Dr. David spent a full hour patiently explaining to my husband and me the necessity of radiotherapy, the technical details, potential risks, and ways to manage them. He made us firmly believe that although the journey would be tough, postoperative radiotherapy would absolutely bring far more benefits than harm for my condition. I found strength in the confidence and determination in his eyes. Throughout the six-week radiotherapy course that followed, he continued to monitor my condition, addressing every problem that arose and greatly reducing my pain and discomfort. If fate destined me to go through the hardship of cancer, at least I was blessed to meet the best doctor.
