About "Raffles House"
Raffles House is a preschool and kindergarten provider based at Fort Canning Park, Singapore. Fees are positioned at a mid-range level ($$) for the Singapore preschool market.
For families considering Raffles House, the typical next step is to enquire about available slots for your intended start month, as places — particularly for younger age groups — can fill well in advance. When you make contact, it is worth asking about the infant-to-caregiver ratio, the daily routine and curriculum approach, and the settling-in period for new children. Singapore citizen families should also enquire about ECDA subsidies, which can meaningfully reduce the monthly cost depending on household income and working status.
To move forward, reach out to Raffles House via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form to ask about current availability, arrange a centre visit, and request a copy of the parent contract so you can review terms before committing.
Visit the centre in person, meet the lead teacher, and read the parent contract before signing.

Views from here not as spectacular as from elsewhere but ok. You could probably miss this spot if you were short of time. It’s also a steep few steps from the city side and a couple of stops to approach from the other side from the station at Dhoby Ghaut. The effort reward is probably not worth it
🏠Raffles House stands majestically up on top of the flight of stairs that is lined with beautiful potted flowers along both sides of the white-painted concrete handrail 🛖The original Raffles House was built of wood and attap structure. 🏡It was rebuilt in neo-classical styled building for subsequent Governors. 🪖But, was demolished for the building of Fort Canning. 🏠This present building was built on the same site in 2003.
Did a tour today to here. It was Raffles house the last time but Sir Raffles build wooden house and it was redone with better structure. In front of the house, there are flags used as a signal to inform ships reaching Singapore port the last time. It is located at the top of fort canning hill. Need to climb up stairs to reach here.
There's no museum exhibition there - the house is used as venue for various events nowadays.
Morning candle light sound bath. The place was abit too cold luckily pillow & blanket were provided. Overall it was a nice experience.

Raffles House is priced at a mid-range level ($$) for the Singapore preschool and kindergarten market. Typical monthly fees at this tier range from around S$1,200 to S$2,000 depending on the child's age group and session type (full-day versus half-day), though you should contact Raffles House directly to confirm its current fee schedule. Beyond the monthly fee, families should ask about a one-off registration fee and a deposit (commonly equivalent to two months' fees). Uniform and personal accident insurance costs may also apply. Childcare and kindergarten fees in Singapore are GST-exempt, so no goods and services tax is added on top. See the full childcare cost guide for Singapore →
Singapore citizen children enrolled at an ECDA-licensed centre may qualify for the Basic Subsidy — up to S$600 per month for infant care or S$300 per month for childcare. Working mothers employed for at least 56 hours per month may additionally claim the Working Mother's Child Care Subsidy (WMS). For lower-income households, the Additional Subsidy can bring combined support up to S$710 per month. Families whose children attend a kindergarten programme may instead be eligible for the Kindergarten Fee Assistance Scheme (KiFAS). Singapore Permanent Residents are eligible for partial subsidies only. Subsidy amounts and eligibility thresholds are revised periodically, so it is advisable to check the ECDA website for the most current figures and to confirm with Raffles House whether it is an ECDA-licensed centre before applying.
Waitlists are common across popular preschools and kindergartens in Singapore, and families are generally advised to enquire three to twelve months ahead of their intended start date. Infant care places tend to be the most competitive and can be spoken for six months or more in advance. January is the main annual intake period, so demand peaks for that cohort. To secure a place, centres typically require payment of a registration fee and a deposit. Contact Raffles House directly via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to ask about current availability for your child's age group and preferred start month, and clarify the steps needed to hold a spot.
