About Rainbow Centre Yishun Park School

About Rainbow Centre Yishun Park School

Rainbow Centre Yishun Park School is a special needs school located at 15 Yishun Street 61, Singapore 768548, serving families islandwide. The school is KakiList verified, meaning a real person has confirmed its operating details and contact channels. It holds a Google rating of 3.5 out of 5, though this is based on only 19 reviews, so that figure should be treated as directional rather than definitive. Fees are listed at the S$$ price band on a monthly recurring basis; prospective families should contact the school directly for exact fee figures, as costs vary by citizenship status and funding arrangements.

Families considering Rainbow Centre Yishun Park School will typically need a diagnostic report from a developmental paediatrician, psychologist, or MOE Psychological Service before a placement can be assessed. The school caters to children with specific diagnosed conditions, and an intake assessment or observation visit is usually arranged so the education and therapy team can confirm that the school's programme is the right fit for the child's profile. SPED schools of this type typically integrate speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physiotherapy into the school day, with low teacher-to-student ratios to support individual learning goals. Parents should also clarify the transition pathway available — whether towards vocational training, continued SPED education, or other post-school options — as part of their initial enquiry.

To take the next step, contact Rainbow Centre Yishun Park School directly by phone or via the enquiry form listed on this page to ask about current placement availability, the referral and assessment process, and applicable fees for your child's citizenship status.

I came here for a company volunteering event , out of my curiosity , I read the google reviews before I came, and the reviews of the parents and previous students put up here made me cry. The school is for the special needs children and they have a very strict check in and check out process to protect the children. The teacher to student ratio is quite high, you can see almost one teacher is paired with a child with special needs. Although I was here for only half day, I am very impressed with the patience of the teacher to the individual student with lots of care and love, you will imagine how hard it is consistently. Here is a place full of angels and love.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Rainbow Centre Yishun Park School charge per month?

Fees at special needs schools in Singapore vary considerably depending on the type of institution and the child's citizenship status. For MOE-gazetted SPED schools, Singapore Citizens typically pay around S$150 per month due to government subsidisation, while Permanent Residents and foreign nationals pay higher tiered rates. Private special needs schools generally charge S$1,500 to S$4,000 or more per month. Rainbow Centre Yishun Park School is listed at the S$$ price band, but exact fees have not been confirmed on this listing — families should enquire directly. In addition to base tuition, families should ask about therapy top-ups, school transport shuttle costs, diagnostic assessment fees at partner clinics, and any charges for uniforms or materials. Fees at SPED schools and EIPIC centres are generally GST-exempt. See the full special needs school cost guide for Singapore →

What subsidies and funding can I claim at Rainbow Centre Yishun Park School?

Funding available depends on the type of placement. For MOE-gazetted SPED schools, the government heavily subsidises fees for Singapore Citizens, resulting in the low flat monthly fee. Permanent Residents and foreigners pay tiered rates without the same subsidy. For EIPIC and early intervention programmes, ECDA administers an Additional Subsidy that is income-tested and can reduce out-of-pocket costs substantially. NCSS-administered means-tested financial assistance may also be available through the provider's social worker for families in financial difficulty. SG Enable offers the Assistive Technology Fund and other support schemes for eligible individuals with disabilities. Where therapy sessions are delivered at approved clinics, MediSave may be used to partially offset those costs. Funding quantum and eligibility criteria change periodically. Families should consult MOE's Special Education Branch and SG Enable directly for current figures and to confirm which schemes apply to their child's situation.

How do I secure a place at Rainbow Centre Yishun Park School?

The starting point for any SPED school placement is a diagnostic report from a qualified developmental paediatrician, psychologist, or MOE Psychological Service. Without an accepted diagnostic document, the school cannot proceed with a placement assessment. Parents who do not yet have this report should obtain one as early as possible, as the assessment process itself can take time. Demand for places at SPED schools in Singapore frequently exceeds supply, and waiting lists can span months to years at established schools. For MOE-gazetted SPED schools, placement is co-ordinated through MOE's Special Education Branch. For private special needs schools and EIPIC centres, families typically apply directly to the provider. Expect an intake assessment or observation visit as part of the process, so the school can confirm programme fit. Parents are strongly advised to begin the referral and application process as early as feasible and to maintain a second-choice option while waiting, given how competitive placements can be.
