About Retire Genie

About Retire Genie

Retire Genie is an eldercare service operating islandwide across Singapore, listed on KakiList with verified contact details. It holds a 4.9-star rating across 19 Google reviews, though the sample size is small and should be treated as directional rather than definitive. No regulatory licences are currently listed on the KakiList profile, and no ACRA registration has been confirmed, so families are advised to verify credentials directly before engaging.

When approaching Retire Genie, begin with a care assessment to establish the elder's mobility, medical conditions, and daily support requirements. Consider whether visit-based care or a live-in arrangement best suits the household's circumstances, and clarify the hours of coverage needed. Identify all decision-makers in the family early, as eldercare arrangements often involve multiple parties. Ask specifically about the qualifications of any caregiver assigned, whether nursing certification or dementia training is relevant to your situation, and what the trial period and replacement process look like if the initial match is not suitable.

Contact Retire Genie directly by phone or through the enquiry form to request a care assessment and discuss current availability for the type of arrangement you need.

We hired Sandar and Sumon as temporary caregivers for my mother, as she had sustained complex fractures in her right leg after a car accident. Both ladies were very experienced and intelligent, able to help my mother transition between her bed, wheelchair and the bathroom, assist in showering and other tasks. They were punctual and highly responsible. We wholly recommend them to anyone looking for caregivers.

We were looking for independent living facilities for our aunt who is mobile but unable to care for herself. I found red crown through google search and got in touch with them. The staff were very helpful and prompt. Our aunt is very happy and is well taken care of . We also have daily updates on meals as well as access to cctv in the hall so we can see how she’s doing . I have recommended red crown to friends and family looking for similar care

Red Crowns is a company that is easy to work with. It has a personal quality to it. And many innovative and creative services and solutions for senior care. I’ve reached out to several agencies that provide similar services and Red Crowns stands out in terms of their range of services and solutions particularly in the area of caregiving for seniors. Their turn around time and availability of help are also timely and flexible.

We used the services of RetireGenie over 2 weeks and are very satisfied with their team of caregivers. All of them are from Myanmar- they all have the right disposition and genuinely caring . Amongst them, we found Sandar outstanding- cheerful, bright and very responsive.

The young Myanmese caregiver sent to help with showering my husband when he’s on home leave from the nursing home is very caring, compassionate and speaks very gently to him. She also helps with cleaning him up after he’s done with moving his bowels. He allows her to massage him , something that he doesn’t allow if he’s not comfortable with the person. So far I’ve tried Thet Su Mon for 5 days and have requested for her until end of 2025

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Retire Genie charge?

Eldercare pricing in Singapore varies considerably by service type. Visit-based home care typically runs S$20–40 per hour, while live-in arrangements involve a caregiver's monthly salary plus an agency placement fee and, where applicable, an MOM levy and mandatory insurance. Day-care centre fees generally range from S$1,200–2,500 per month depending on subsidy eligibility. Public holiday surcharges are common for visit-based services. Retire Genie has not published a detailed price list on its KakiList profile, so contact the team directly for a quote tailored to the level of care and hours required. Live-in or visit-based — which does Retire Genie offer?

Visit-based care suits elders who are largely independent but need support for personal care, medication reminders, or companionship during set hours each day. Live-in arrangements provide round-the-clock presence and are typically considered when the elder cannot safely be left alone overnight or has complex medical needs. Retire Genie's current profile does not specify which models are available, so confirm directly which arrangement they provide. Ask about the scope of tasks covered (clinical nursing, personal care, housekeeping, or companionship), whether a trial period is offered, and what the replacement process looks like if the caregiver assigned is not a suitable match for the elder's personality or care needs.

Is the caregiver trained and insured?

For home care services involving clinical tasks, caregivers should hold relevant nursing certification or be supervised by a registered nurse. Where dementia care is required, specialist training in dementia management is an important credential to ask about. Agencies providing home nursing services should be registered with the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) or the Ministry of Health (MOH). Retire Genie does not currently list regulatory licences on its KakiList profile. Before confirming any arrangement, ask directly whether caregivers hold relevant certifications, whether the service is AIC-registered, and what insurance cover applies — both for caregiver injury and for any incidents involving the client during care.
