After months of self-practice on the drum, I decided to do a trial with David. Very pleased with the session when David pointed out the areas I require improving, which I totally agree. Decided on the spot to take up lessons and build up my basic foundation with David. Updated: Done 7 sessions with David and enjoyed every sessions with new challenges and improvement to my coordination. Always look forward to the next lesson.
David is a fantastic teacher and lessons are challenging yet enjoyable! Great place to learn drums.
David is an excellent teacher with a great sense of humour who is very passionate about playing drums. He teaches drums in a structured manner while also being flexible enough to let his students choose their own songs that they want to play. He's also been very willing to figure out new songs which students have requested. If you've always wanted to learn drums, Rhythm House is a great choice!

Rhythm House displays a mid-range price indicator ($$), but specific per-session rates are not publicly listed. Music schools in Singapore typically charge S$40–80 per session for group lessons and S$70–150 per session for one-to-one tuition, depending on the instrument, the teacher's experience, and lesson duration. Beyond the session fee, ask about materials or music books, any registration or admin fee, and whether sibling discounts or term packages are available. Some schools charge a separate trial class fee, while others apply it as credit towards enrolment. See the full Music Schools cost guide for Singapore →
Many music schools in Singapore offer a trial class before a term commitment is required. A trial is the most reliable way to assess whether the teaching style, pacing, and instrument level are a good fit — both for children and adult learners. During the trial, pay attention to how the teacher explains concepts, whether the student is engaged throughout, and whether the level is appropriately challenging. Ask whether the trial fee is refundable or credited towards lessons if you decide to continue. Contact Rhythm House directly via WhatsApp or the enquiry form to confirm their trial class policy and available slots.
Credential information for Rhythm House's teaching staff is not publicly available in the current listing. For music schools, relevant qualifications to ask about include conservatoire training, practical examination board experience (such as ABRSM, Trinity College London, or LCM), years of teaching experience, and familiarity with the specific genre or syllabus you are pursuing. If your child is working towards graded examinations, confirm that the teacher is experienced with the relevant examination board and its current syllabi. It is reasonable to ask for a brief tutor profile before booking. Contact Rhythm House directly to request details on the qualifications and experience of the teacher who would be assigned to your lessons.
