Fees are positioned in the mid-range tier ($$).

Families considering Sam's Early Learning Centre should begin by enquiring about available slots for their intended start month, as places — particularly for younger age groups — can fill well in advance. When you make contact, ask about the infant-to-caregiver ratios, the daily routine and curriculum approach, and the settling-in period for new children. It is also worth confirming whether the centre is ECDA-licensed, as this determines eligibility for government subsidies available to Singapore citizen and permanent resident families.

Before I started lessons with Sam, both my knowledge and understanding of the syllabus were severely lacking, and I was consistently scoring 2’s and 3’s for my school tests and examinations. I joined midway of 2022 hoping for Sam’s help to better grasp concepts which I did not get, and hopefully save my failing grades. Sam’s lessons were a saving grace, he was engaging yet concise with the way he explained concepts, making it easy to learn. His use of diagrams, systematic thought process, and genuine desire to impart knowledge makes him one of, if not the most capable teachers I have had across all my school subjects. He is a strong believer in practice, offering abundant exercises with detailed explanations, ensuring that all of his students excel so long as they match his own commitment and effort. He also offered IA Consults, using guiding questions that shaped my research question and experimentation, which elevated the quality of my assessment and naturally, my grade. Even on an online platform, Sam is adequately prepared with professional equipment and software. With his help, I was fortunate enough to achieve a 7 for my final IB paper. It would not have been possible without Sam’s tireless commitment and unrelenting fervour in teaching. Highly recommend for students who are genuinely looking to learn better!

Before joining Sam's classes my understanding of IB physics concepts were weak and I was falling behind classes in school as teachers sped through content. I joined Sam's classes to strengthen my fundamentals and to understand and apply concepts better. One thing that helped me in my physics journey was Sam's recorded lessons, which helped to reinforce his precise and careful explanations. His consultation sessions for typical exam questions and IAs were also very useful, as it allowed for personal guidance and help in areas we were weak in. As a result, I was soon able to understand the content more clearly, and able to confidently apply physics concepts to exam questions.

Sam has really helped me with my physics ever since i joined him in Y5 (IB, equivalent to J1). Prior to joining sam’s lessons, i was already quite comfortable with my physics grades, and i joined to ensure i would still be able to keep up with the change in pace transitioning from IP —> IB. Furthermore, i also left my previous tutor as i felt that it was no longer helping me and i had heard many good reviews of Sam from seniors and friends. One thing that sets sam apart from other tutors in my opinion is his willingness to teach and enthusiasm for the subject. He willing goes the extra mile to provide extra lessons, online 1 to 1/group consults (not only for paper reviews and concept clarifications but he also provides a wealth of help with my IA). I still remember during my physics IA (project work) season when Sam would offer 1 to 1 online consults to vet through and give me comments with regards to my essay as well as the experiment set up. This made me feel much more confident with the quality of my work and that i was not alone attempting the IA. Another element that elevates Sam’s, lessons would be the integration of technology into his teaching. During online lessons, idk how he does it but he superimposes the screen so even online lessons feel like an actual live lesson. He also records his lessons, in which us students can request for anytime to recap on past taught concepts, something that is unique of his lessons. Overall, I am very satisfied with the outcome of joining sam. Not only have i achieved my purpose of joining — maintaining my grades, but it also helped me improve my grades and elevate my understanding to a different level. I have since recommended sam to many of my friends, many of which experience the same improvement as me and i can confidently say that he is the best IB physics tutor around.

Joining Sam's physics lessons has definitely been one of the best decisions I have made during my IB journey. Prior to his lessons, I was heavily struggling with the subject, scoring grade 4s and low 5s for my class tests and final year examination. However despite joining him late, in the 2nd year of my IB, Sam's teaching style made it extremely easy to integrate into his lessons. As every lesson is recorded, he provided me with all the necessary video recordings in order for me to catch up with his other students. His recordings use a software that superimposes himself onto his computer screen, which made his virtual lessons just as engaging as in-person ones. As I carried on attending his lessons this year, it became clear that Sam goes way above and beyond what is expected of a tutor. His notes are clear and thorough, preparing his students for any possible question in the exams. Sam also offered every single student individual Internal Assessment (IA) consultations, where he involved himself in the entire process of selecting research questions, sourcing for background info and the data analysis. Throughout the year, anytime I had a Physics question, I could always drop him a message and he would provide an extremely detailed solution, where he focused more on my understanding rather thansimply telling me the solution. He would also provide a video recording where he explains the relevant concepts, which I found very helpful in my understanding. What really set Sam apart for me was his attitude towards us. He was always extremely passionate in his teachings and ensuring we could keep up with his lessons. He always made sure were on task with our revision, frequently sending us reminders and most importantly motivating us to put in our best effort. I am extremely grateful to Sam that my Physics grade in the IB examination improved to a 7 under his lessons, and I would highly recommend joining him 😁😁

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does "Sam's Early Learning Centre" charge per month?

Sam's Early Learning Centre is priced in the mid-range ($$) tier, though a specific monthly fee is not published on this listing. For context, childcare fees in Singapore typically range from around S$1,200 to S$2,800 per month before subsidies, depending on the age group and the type of centre. When enquiring, ask the centre to provide a full breakdown that includes the one-time registration fee, the deposit amount (commonly equivalent to two months' fees), and any uniform or personal accident insurance costs. Childcare and preschool fees in Singapore are GST-exempt, so the quoted monthly rate should reflect your actual payment. Confirm all costs in writing before signing any enrolment contract. What subsidies can I claim at "Sam's Early Learning Centre"?

Singapore citizen children attending a licensed childcare centre are eligible for the Basic Subsidy — up to S$600 per month for infant care and up to S$300 per month for childcare. Working mothers who clock at least 56 hours of work per month may also qualify for the Additional Working Mother Child Care Subsidy (WMS), which provides further monthly support on top of the Basic Subsidy. Families with a gross monthly household income below S$12,000 may be eligible for the Additional Subsidy, which is income-tested and can bring combined support up to approximately S$710 per month. For kindergartens, the KiFAS (Kindergarten Fee Assistance Scheme) applies to eligible lower-income families. Permanent resident children receive partial subsidies only. Subsidy amounts and qualifying criteria are reviewed periodically, so it is advisable to check the ECDA website directly for the most current figures. Note that subsidies are only available at ECDA-licensed centres — confirm the centre's licence status before enrolment.

Is there a waitlist at "Sam's Early Learning Centre"?

Waitlists at popular childcare centres and kindergartens in Singapore are common, particularly for infant care places where licensed capacity is tightly regulated. As a general guide, families are advised to enquire at least three to six months ahead of their intended start date, and up to twelve months in advance for infant care. January is the primary intake month for most preschools, so competition for places tends to be highest in the preceding months. To secure a slot, most centres require the payment of a registration fee and a deposit at the point of confirmation. Contact Sam's Early Learning Centre directly via phone or the enquiry form to ask about current availability for your child's age group and preferred start month.
