About School of Rock Singapore
School of Rock Singapore is a music school operating islandwide from its centre at Funan Mall in the Civic District. It has been verified by KakiList, meaning a real person has confirmed its operating details and contact channels. The school holds a 4.9-star rating across 47 Google reviews — a moderate sample size that points in a positive direction, though prospective students and parents should read individual reviews to assess consistency. Pricing is indicated at the mid-range tier ($$).
Prospective students and parents can enquire via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form to discuss level and syllabus fit — whether that is beginner guitar, drums, vocals, or band performance programmes for children and adults. It is worth asking whether classes are available in a group format or on a one-to-one basis, what the term commitment looks like, and whether a trial class is available before committing to a full term. Confirming the teaching approach and how the curriculum is structured around the student's current ability and musical goals will help ensure the programme is well matched.
The most direct next step is to reach out via WhatsApp or the online form to ask about current availability, request a trial class, and confirm tuition fees and term terms before making a commitment.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
(Late review) Terry was friendly and helpful with my piano needs as I was unfamiliar with it. The process to getting the piano was also smooth and he helped me acquire further discounts (with some items removed) to fit into my budget. Looking forward to receiving the piano 🎹
My husband and son loves the school. Amazing place for music instruments and quality for their music lessons.
I got my drum set there. The sales Zi Qian is very attentive and friendly, assisting me to find the best suitable model for me. And it is going to delivery today. Can’t wait. Thanks Zi Qian.
The Bad Romance program was nice.. but the keyboard on Bad Romance cannot hear.. the student spend more time practicing at Funan and parents expecting their kid to perform well and they cannot hear the sound of their son.. the sound engineer failed to mix this properly, he focused more on guitars.. but overall it’s a nice performance..
Joan was serving us! Happy to be here at your centre! Had a great time looking through the instruments with her advice.

School of Rock Singapore displays a mid-range pricing tier ($$), but specific per-session or monthly rates are not publicly listed. In the Singapore market, music tuition at established schools typically ranges from S$50–120 per session for group classes and S$80–200 or more for one-to-one lessons, depending on the instrument and instructor level. Some schools charge per term rather than per session, and a separate materials or enrolment fee may apply. When enquiring, ask whether a trial class is available and what it costs, whether sibling or package discounts apply, and what the cancellation or make-up policy is for missed sessions. Many music schools in Singapore offer a trial class at a reduced fee or as part of the enrolment process, and it is reasonable to ask School of Rock Singapore whether this option is available before signing up for a full term. A trial session lets you gauge whether the teaching style suits the student's learning preference, whether the level is appropriately pitched, and whether the student is genuinely engaged with the format — group ensemble work versus structured individual tuition feel quite different in practice. Use the trial to observe how the instructor manages pacing and feedback. If the school does not offer a formal trial, ask whether you can sit in on a class or speak with current students or parents before committing.
Specific instructor qualifications for School of Rock Singapore are not publicly listed in the available information, so it is worth asking directly about the background of the teacher assigned to your instrument and level. Relevant credentials in a music school context include formal music degrees or diplomas (such as ABRSM, Trinity, or a university music programme), years of teaching experience, and familiarity with any specific syllabi or examination boards you intend to follow. If examination preparation — ABRSM, Trinity Guildhall, or Rock School grades — is part of the goal, confirm that the instructor has experience guiding students through those specific assessments. Asking to meet or speak with the assigned teacher before the first session is a reasonable request.
